  3. Me Says:

The ones on the bottom right look like King 55s.

  4. Twinky Says:

Where the colored version of the photo? Looks like the same K2 models as before. The bad parts being the lack of a replaceable cuff, an awkward soul system (either too big or unreplaceable), and (newer models) weighing more. HOWEVER, I’ve been rollerblading for almost a decade and nothing has met the feeling of the TRUE soft-boot comfort from K2.

  5. moag Says:

i think they are the ben weiss and yasatuko

  6. Bhunter Says:

I’m think of getting some K2 soles for my Deshi’s

  7. jim Says:

yes you can replace the souls and cuffs on both models of k2s , its pissing me off that all these people think that

  8. rollerdude Says:

i really like K2s… dunno why, cause it`s not a real rollerblading-brand …but damn those skates look sweet …and you can backslide like none of your friends with those

  9. BORDEAUX Says:

top left look like the yasutoko and the king55 down at the right feel really nice

Well if K2 is back then i am definately happy to see them, i think that these skates are pretty nice look kinda of the same but i really like the ones on the top left…

  13. llo Says:

    are they ufs

  14. al dolega Says:

photo is from brandonsmith-photo.com…… way to credit the source RN.

the souls and cuffs on the Fatty’s (aka UFS Naturals) are not replaceable: the souls are bonded to the boot/toecap and the cuff is riveted to the souls.

  15. Kevin Baguley Says:

WOW all those skates look so awsome!!!! K2 should make a comeback! i never see any K2′s around anymore except for my friend’s pat lennon’s k2′s! Those skates are all looking nice!

  16. dizzy Says:

Ya I had a pair of 250′s when I first started. Now I would never be able to skate them. These don’t look that bad but I would never buy them due to their lack of replacable parts, liners, souls..ect

  17. Jason Calva Says:

If K2 decides to make skates once again- hell yeah I will welcome them back- and I will be the first person to buy a pair or UFS King 55′s.

And although they are riveted- you can still replace them. Just go to an actual shop instead of a online deal. But most people didn’t break their cuffs with K2 anyways.

  18. emiliew Says:

so yeah how is this going to work?

  19. Shawn Says:

YESSSSSSS….i was closed to being sponced by them…..but then shut down the aggressive team….kinda sucks…

This is a place for news that is posted by people that are wanting to share… not everyone on here that finds a pic of interest will properly qoute where they found it.

People post in the main forum… mods put it up here.

    Al Godaya… shut up.

  21. Urbn^nja Says:

I’ve never been a fan of K2. Still not now.

  22. Dustin Says:

These look ok. The newer soul systems on k2′s are so easy to wear down though. I still do think it would be sweet if they did bring back the old back yard bob’s though. old school is the best.

  23. al dolega Says:

checking/discovering sources is simple journalistic ethics….. RN could at least make an attempt to find out where the photo came from, it’s not like it’s from some obscure site…. brandon has been updating his site a ton lately, especially this past weekend for barnburner (which is where this shot was taken).

    anyways….

yes it is possible to replace the cuffs on the UFS Fatty models with a bench riveter and the proper bits, but there are few skate shops left out there, and fewer still who’ll have a bench riveter, let alone the $100 bits for cuff rivets. replacing the cuffs isn’t really an issue anyways, 95% of aftermarket cuffs are bought for strictly cosmetic reasons.

on a budget skate like the Fatty there is obviously less of an emphasis on cosmetic issues and more on making the skate affordable. it’s aimed at kids buying their first ever skates, or at least their first real aggressive skates, usually at big-box sports stores, where price is the #1 factor in purchase decisions.

the “new” k2 boot (nemesis/transfer/etc) obviously has replaceable souls, a more high-tech cuff system, better materials, etc….. don’t expect a budget skate to have pro-level features.

  24. smash hit kller Says:

the king 55s are sick. k2 shood jus invest knew money and maek new skates al to gether. why not? they have the dough

  25. smash hit kller Says:

Also, SCREW YOU mike/rando. yOU\’RE JUST ANOTHER LAME DUMBFUCK WHO KNOWS NO COURTESY. lICK MY ASS, LOSER.

  26. tim Says:

dizzy’s right… ithink k2 should come up with a new skate that you can replace the parts…..the bottom left looks kinda cool…

  27. keithpriebe Says:

Damn I would love to get shrijn-like skate again!

Maybe this time, they make the souls with a better material and a little bit lighter?

Whoever thinks k2 is a cheater skate can kiss my white ass.

    not

  34. switch_technique Says:

o.0 these kinda “kings 55″ are awsome, i would definitively buy em

  35. Presto Says:

The bottom left skate looks so comfortable. I’d love to see some more softboots in aggressive skates.

  36. Jason Calva Says:

    The souls are totally replaceable.

I don’t know if you are all retarded or what, but the souls have been replaceable since the Style Points Bob which is older than most of you have been skating.

They haven’t had riveted souls since the 125cc. All the skates shown have replaceable toe caps, backslides, souls and frames.

  37. MAMBA Says:

I RIDE K2 PAT LENNEN W KIZER SUSPENSIONS AND THESE ARE THE BEST SKATES TO EVER GRACE THE PLANET I LOVE K2 AND IM BUYING THEM ASAP !!!!!!!!!!

  38. Dabladeguru Says:

the ones on the top left are the proto types, the rest arent getting rereleased from what ive been told by K2, they said that they ll have the new redesigned model out either this year or early next year.
