K2: Red Prototypes Skates, Spotted on RnR
Ok if these are fake then that is one amazing photoshop job. K2 has always had the potential to take over the industry again just like they did with the original fatty. But they just couldn’t ever get it right. Hopefully this skate can bring them out of the clearence bin at “insert name here sports” store.
It looks like these have a weird hybrid old sole/UFS sole plate. blending parts of each model to make a new design kind of like voltron but with plastic and less cat’s.

wtf k2? the fatty is sooo good. if u add on that poxy soul it will feel just like that shitty salomon add-on widebody.
the answer is simple, make the toecap less rubbery and make room for a razors-like backslide plate(instead of the rubbery one) so that nugens and shit will not stick up and you got yourself a pimp skate. i know this because i’ve modified my fatties.

I’ve still got some red fatty pro originals and they are still some of the comfiest and lightest skates I’ve ever skated! The only problem with them is they aren’t UFS and the souls are tiny tiny.
I’m not quite sure how much I like this design but if people will buy xsjados despite their looks people will buy this if they skate well haha
I just think if they’re trying to make their way back into the aggressive market they should start with something less.. original..

Why don’t they just release an updated ’style points bob’ skate (loose the toecaps add a razors style backslide plate as someone else said) and ‘250′ skate in UFS – So comfy and good looking skates – Just me?

If it’s relatively inexpensive, it’s another chance for starters-out to have skates on their feet that they can actually grind and do gaps with.
From there, they might upgrade, in time, to USD/Razor/Valo whatever as their Mum/Dad sees that they love rolling.
Far better than them buying something woeful that they can’t grind on, get depressed about it, stop and buy a board.

Guy from K2 Poland told me that K2 now has got new guy (aggressive pro skater) responsible for K2 designs but he couldn’t tell me his name :)

If this skates anything close to the 250cc just updated with newer stuff like a better groove and wider soul you would have a dream skate. Most kids who skate nowadays wouldn’t know. Ha! I bet they would shit if they knew frames weren’t always UFS HAHA!!!

The colour’s horrible, christmas & cheerleading do spring to mind, haha!
They look solid though, a remz OS and a K2 250 mixed together, or even an RB. To justify i reckon we need more photo’s, if it was real they’re would be more angles. If it is real i think it could be a grat skate.

these are real and not photoshopped. they are going to retail for under 200. there is a post on be-mag messageboard with more angles. they will be available sometime at rollerwarehouse, not sure when. and yes, there are laces. hope this answers some skeptical comments.

4 small things that would make that skate look amazing.
-Change the color
-replace the tube sock look with different material / fabric and possibly change the color to a darker or lighter shade of the boot. (white/color/shade of color)
- replace the metal rivet along the lace with hard plastic in white or black. (etc).
-buckle looks out of place with the black
Personally, if the skates real, ^that^ would help tremendously, and it would look good
right now the small choices that would make a difference make it look like a friggin tube sock from the 80’s and a bad button up jacket with leather.

Can’t u see that the ufs soulplate from the front of the boot to the heel is in one piece and replacable and for sure feets the actual fatty(Black) pro and for sur the old one too…
