It’s upsetting for me to post this information, but Julian Bah will no longer be sponsored as a Pro skater by Rollerblade.
Clearly Julian has amazing talent, but talent is not everything when you are a Pro level athlete. Professional skills and behavior within and outside the sport play a major role in how far a skater can take his/her career.
Please understand this is not a decision I took lightly. I’ve known Julian since he was 11 years old. Julian and I have had several conversations in which we’ve gone over what he needed to be doing and how he needed to behave, but for whatever reason he chose to disregard my simple advice.

Rollerblade is in this sport almost forever. Rollerblade has always pushed and helped this sport. And they have the experience to judge if a skater on their proteam doesn’t match their ideas.
In order to make this sport more popular we need outstanding personalities that leaves a good impression of what rollerblading is! I dont know what Julian did…but it must have a severe reason!
The younger guys don’t know what Rollerblade already did for that sport!

If you guys only knew what has happened since bittercold you would understand, Tom made a good decision. He wouldnt Take Julian Off for no reason. I saw something happening to bah once him and coco started dating look at everything before 2008 Superhick 2007 He murdered. He had an amazing black market section. But once 2008 came he fell off and To be honest I dont blame it on Rollerblade I blame it on Coco and his Relationship. And just to let you know i would be one of the few who know exactly whats happened. Take it how you want but this was a good decision on Toms part if you knew the details

well i agree with a bunch of people… the newer people to rollerblading dont know what ‘rollerblade’ has done for the sport blah blah…rollerblade have helped alot of the best skaters get into the public eye , broskow, bah,(although he went back), frankie just to throw a couple of names out there….look basically like people have said hyser wouldnt have no reason… it was blatantly a good enough reason… but by the same token rollerblade have also fell of a bit with some of there products etc and there apparent new team…like swain… someone who is amazing at park and nothing else, its like what baliey says in valo 1 i think… people should be able to skate everything these days… from those past edits with lomax clearly he cant just skate anything… again, yep agree sick at park, he is a park rt ..everything else… hahah, most people will sit back and enjy themselves and even have a beer and laugh with friends about how bad he is at everything else…. and as for bah going back to razors… why?! he left razors for a damn good reason.. they didnt pay him, no pro skate , not even one in the works…nothing… any way at the end of the day, bah prob did something he shouldnt have along with WEAK clips and mini sections, so once he has sorted himself out and all that stuff then maybe he will get another boot sposer, and whoever sid the idea of nimh… sounds like a plan too me!!

Tom hates Richie for whatever reason, he would not send him skates when they came out with the new ones. He would not let riders use other company frames. If you were on RB, you HAD to ride RB frames. Bullshit. The new skates look awful.

Okay, lt’s get some things clear here. For all of you talking shit about Tom Hyser, you all need to get a life cuz just like Rollerblade he has done his share for us as an industry and as skaters(Skatepile, Superhick, Fiziks[r.i.p.]) as a whole. On top of that, he wasn’t around when Franky or Alex got dropped from the company. As far as Julian goes, I know that there was an incident between him and his gf the night b4 bcsd. Other than that, he has been getting himself into trouble lately. I’m not going to get into it but something regarding police was mentioned. Overall his behavior wasn’t that of a professional. Like Hyser stated, there is more to being pro than having talent. Think of it this way: If you are the owner or team mgr of a skate company and someone on the team keeps attracting negative attention to the team and the company and does not behave the right way in public, you would keep them on your team??? If your answer is yes then you are definitely lacking in the common sense department. That makes him, the team, you, and the company look bad because that is what he represents. That could bring down sales and a plethora of other things that you don’t want around you as well. Julian has only himself to blame. This doesn’t mean he is a bad person by any means. It just means that he has to do a bit of self evaluating. I’m sure that he and Tom will remain friends because at the end of the day they have to both realize that this is a business decision. And in business you cannot afford to take certain risks…and poor behavior skills is surely something that would not be tolerated anywhere by anyone. I hope he gets picked up too, but I’m 100% sure that other companies know about this and might take into consideration that even tho Julian has amazing skills, his behavior just might be the thing that is stopping him from getting to where he wants to be. And like I stated b4, NOBODY in their right state of mind in this or any industry is ever going to tolerate poor behavior. So while he may get picked up sometime down the road, I don’t expect it to be soon at all considering what just went down. O and don’t knock the new RB’s till u try em cuz they are by far one of the best skates out there right now performance wise. They look okay but skate great.

hey the skate hasnt been in shops for 2months so why bag it out!? those who have tried these skates have had positive feedback that looks promising, comfort,flex… id suggest al you lucky bastereds that have a skate shop near you go try a pair on test the different points mentioned..
it isnt a shit skate until youve seen it in action and tried some on… like any skate some being thought of ugly at the start but once you know what its capable of then it grows on you or you gain some respect for whats been done…

thanks Jlyn ;)… sizemore is still skating rollerblade as seen on BCSD and swain was killing it at winterclash so i can say that with swain theyve done a good choice.. with the NO other frames policy… sure if i was Tom and alot of work was put in to designing the frames id like them represented at events but on the other hand it is unfair.. since most other brands let riders use GC…Kizer…5050 frames… id say after 12months of reping and also putting the frame to the test.. with some edits done for others you should have the choice to switch to other brands.. and use the factory frames at BIG major events only… i dont see any review edits so i have no clue weather they are great except one feedback left on a forum… which said that they where Fast as F. among other positives like flex,and linier comfort..

Julian made a huge mistake, he knows it, he feels tremendous remorse, and has apologized for it. It cost him a sponsorship. Julian is no different than Olympian Michael Phelps, whose recent Bong incident cost him 2 key sponsors worth millions of dollars; companies that sponsor expect a level of professionalism, sadly Julian failed. As for Tom, I spoke personally with him and I can tell you this was a very hard decision to make, indeed the final decision came down from his boss. Tom met Julian as a pre-teen and has been his biggest supporter and booster. Julian has nobody to blame.
As Coco’s father, I was stunned to receive the 130am call from Detroit. Being over 700 miles always was a helpless and horrible feeling; certainly the worst I’ve ever had. When you have a child you will understand this. Coco experienced something that no female should ever have to go through. Simply put you don’t strike a female.
Further, I made the following decision, instead of having Julian arrested I phoned Tom at 2am and explained the situation. Tom raced from his hotel to calm Julian down and see that Coco was safe. I flew Coco home that morning. I didn’t have Julian arrested because I remember him when he had a different attitude and I believe Julian has redeeming value. Only time will tell if I was correct.
Those who know me understand I have a real passion for this underappreciated discipline. All those who Roll, whether competitive athletes or who do it for the love of it, you need to support one another; including ALL the companies that stand behind the Industry… rolling grows by this support.
Lastly, to John and “we love Lesbians†sophomoric comments above, I am disappointed that people would stoop to that level; showing us just how brainless people can get. My guess is that most of John’s brains dribbled down his Mothers leg…as for We Love Lesbians,. The only pussy on this thread is you, state your full name, brothers.

I’m Coco’s sister, Noe. You guys might not understand the situation that is going on, so you have no room to be talking. Don’t make some fake name on here and post some unecessary comment that you know nothing about, as mentioned by my dad.
Coco went through more then you would know, so keep your mouth closed if you don’t know the facts.
To most of you Julian is a great skater and guy, but his actions need work, whether its school or a skate competition there are standards that need to be met, especially when kids look up to you as a role model.
But you all sound ridiculous hating on Tom for his decision, anyone with a brain would have done the same thing. As a sponser its a respondsibility to make sure your guys are in check, in this case Julian went past the last straw.
To whomever is trying to blame Rollerblade, Tom, or my sister as his “problem” please explain to me how that is. Its his own fault, at any point he could have stopped whatever the “cause” was.

This is totally bullshit… why in the name of heavens, would you fire a skater for what he does outside skating? I agree with “no girl should be hit”, but only the two know what really happened, and if you had a long relationship before, you know a girl can make you out of your mind like no man can ever do…

Here is the deal.
He got fired not because he did what he did. HE GOT FIRED BECAUSE HE DID THIS WHILE HE WAS ATTENDING A MAJOR EVENT ON ROLLERBLADES DOLLAR. If you are a pro you are on the clock the entire trip, not just the time of the contest. A pro skater represents his sponsors on and off their skates. Beating up a chick (underage at that) in front of half the rollerbladers in the USA makes the entire team look bad. The company because they pay his faggot ass and the other skaters because they didn’t jump in and stop this from happening. If I were making the call I would have canned every team member that was within a block of this. If you want to go out and party, fine…. just don’t do it while you are being paid to attend the biggest even in the sport.

This violent outbreak is so unfair to everyone involved. Rollerblade have done more for this sport than many of the other brands that have come and gone, and people are so mad because they have cut and uncut teams consistently, but on the other hand they have helped many events, magazines, kids in the sport, flow teams, even though they don’t especially need to as their income is from rec skating. Im sure Hyser is doing his best with what he can and this spiteful hate against Bah, Coco, Hyser, RB is a really, really nasty and unfair, in my opinion.

-the scene is a joke. it’s elitist. the money doesn’t get spread around. fool yourself all you like thinking otherwise. sponsorship is a marketing tool.
-skate for yourself everyone, pro rollerbladers aren’t role models it’s foolish to think anything other than that.
-rollerblade brand rollerblades fucking blow and only the TRS was good, for about 6mos. they’ve always had the wrong rollers designing skates and this is a fact.
-don’t date women that are 16 when you are above the age of 20 unless you want childish drama, or unless you are a child yourself (which seems to be the case here)

i agree with alot of your points.
i never said that i thought sponsership in rollerblading was a fair deal, nor that companies treat all there riders incredibly well.
the point i was making is that someone is unprofessional in there social interactions and is creating a negative profile for your company then they should get dropped.
in my opinion, stephane alfano should have been dropped from the conference for his attitude at the lg action sports festival last year.
True hes an immense skater, but repping rollerblading in that way s terrible!
obv this situation is slightly different as it wasnt under the spotlight in the same way, but its still messy.

So here are facts coco is a month or to short of her 18th birthday and juian is 21. i talked to coco and she said her dad didnt know she was staying with julian. probably not the first time coco or any of us lied to parents lol And her sister noe and brother nick never posted on here that was some dumbass. vince has taken me and many others over the years to comps all over to differnt states.coco always places very high in comps and won back to back ASA world championships and made it to the semis of BCSD last year in ohio.
