2. I’ve tried it. Logically. it makes no sense to pay 20 bucks for what an hour of feeling good. then to have to worry about spending time in jail on something that shouldn’t be illegal but is. This is a statistic you can find online that about 95% of the crimes committed are made by really dumb people.
A blader when signed is exactly what I said before, a “Role Model” you could even say a “Roll Model”. It’s your job to represent in a good light the company and company product in a way that would make possible customers view the product you’re using as the product they should use. Hence why some people get kicked off and some don’t from teams.

Being on a company’s pro team is NOT an award that’s given for ability. It’s a business decision based on what/who will generate money for the company. Have you ever seen Dre Powell visit a local skatepark or shop? He is a PR dream come true. He interacts with and engages younger skaters, learns and uses people’s names and leaves skaters feeling encouraged, motivated and like they have a friend in Dre. THAT sells skates. Period. Some skaters, despite amazing skill, either aren’t cut out for this or don’t realize the importance. And many skate companies don’t put the time or effort into articulating their expectations OR don’t provide the guidance needed to help their pros learn how to interact with the public in a way that results in sales.
I know this will be hated on, but the truth is, established skaters seldome change brands based on a company’s pro team roster. In contrast, teens make most of their decisions based on the actions and attitudes of people they look up to and idolize. And the parents of these kids have a lot more disposable income to spend on skates…income that the skate industry needs.
Maybe Jbah just didn’t fit this mold. Maybe Dre Powell does. Probably the decision was a business based and not as personal as many of you are making it out to be.

This is a situation of involved aspiration to an illusional extent. I made an executive business decision that will in turn benefit my company in the enrichment of how I want to portray the razors life style. We at razors are committed to finding the best rounded skaters and talent across the globe. If you look at the international team, they are primarily focused on attending competitions, marketing the razors brand and life style to there younger generations, Our american team definaltey has the talent but the marketing of there portrayed lifestyle is not what I want razors to be known as by our future generation. This whole blader gang mentality is not how I want nor envisioned the portrayal of a hardworking dedicated pro team. I solely made an executive decision that will benefit my staff (team) no personal feelings have been involved with my situation. and let me tell you this, there will be no more parties at the razors house without my consent. New rules and regulations have been drafted to form an edited team contract that will have to be signed by each team member stating that policy’s and guidelines be met and exucuted to ensure a position on the razors team. It would be far worse if J Bah would be praised here for his bad rap, smoking weed, beating women, and acting in immature way. The fact most people cheer over how Andy kicked him off Razors, actually shows there is still hope for rollerblading, that it’s not full of junkies who only think about getting high & partying. JBah is an adult and can choose how he wants to act and what he wants to do. Razors is a business and can choose how they want their company portrayed. If the two don’t mesh, the only solution is to part ways. A “morals clause” is always part of a professional athletes contract. (Take Tiger Woods’ Gator Ade sponsorship. It was terminated because his family life no longer matched the image GatorAde widhed to portray to the public.) Kudos must be given to Andy for trying to raise the bar and treat his pros like true professional atheletes. No one but Andy and Jbah know exactly what happened or how this decision was made. But bottom line, it was a business decision. Not personal and certainly not due to Jbah’s skating ability. Any comments that say he has no skating ability are simply laughable. He’s a great skater and athlete. That’s undeniable. It seems he’s seen as a “punk” however, I’ve met him, hung with him, and he’s always been cool with me. (And no! I don’t smoke weed, I’m NOT in the Blader Gang and I’m not a pro. Just a regular guy.) So, I must assume that these comments are from people who simply don’t know him personally. I challenge thoseof you who have posted all the hate towards JBah to make the effort to actually MEET him. And I challenge all those who are hating on Razors to study business and athlete sponsorships.. Andy is a successful businessman and JBah’s a nice guy and great athlete. But his lifestyle (or life choices) don’t portray Razors as they see fit. Its simple business. Wish Jbah the best in his future endeavors and be done with it.
