I’d be a father, i’ll never give this shitty drink to my 3 years old kid (really cute, by the way), for sure !
… and i’d never tell him to make this kind of free advertising for this trade either !

YES! that was so cool! now if only we could get an army of tots on blades! Seeing a young kid skate reminds me (and should remind any onlooker) that rollerblading isn’t easy and everyone has to start somewhere. the pros didn’t get good overnight, it takes time to get good, and seeing small kids skate is undeniable proof of this fact. But also, jojo is really good for his age and i think he will be (even more) awesome someday!
p.s. HAPPY THANKSGIVING ROLLERNEWS

November 26th, 2009 at 8:28 pm
nothing worse than parents who push things on to there kids.
this is exactly the same as mothers pushing there kids into pagents.
November 26th, 2009 at 10:33 pm
If he keeps at it and doesnt lose interest in skating he’ll grow up to be an incredible park skater. When hes skating that mellow concrete bit you can see hes actually finding the lines round it. The majority of people start really progressing when they’re mid teens as they’re skating all the time, and this kid has 8 years till then still. Bright future.

when i was 6 i lived in a cul de sac, This kid lives at woodward, jjjjeeeeeeezzz
November 27th, 2009 at 12:08 am
cool but…ive seen 5 yr old skateboarders at skateparks that can actually do alot of shit, and actually do alright in contests
rollerbladings badass but why would you want to get your kid into something that wont earn him any money and just ruin his body?
the feelings you get from skating are worth it.. but still
like seriously, you should have given your kid some more options, not kind of “force” blading on him
what if he really liked biking or skateboarding or like baseball..
guccimane?
wow what a faggot, what a gay ass name, id fuckin beat your ass
kids need to be hated on, it makes them better faggot
if i was never critisized by my friend who was better than me, i wouldnt be at the level im at now

He is actually encouraged to try all sports. He has access to skateboards and bikes. His parents let him play baseball, soccer, and do gymnastics but he really just loves skating and always has. He is a great roller hockey player as well!

I’d like to confirm what brandigr2 has already said. JoJo’s parents, Pam & Richie both have encouraged all three of their kids to be active and try different sports. No one sport has been pushed more than another, not even rollerblading. Rollerblading just happens to be what he loves to do most, I guess it is in their genes. One of their younger twins appears to really enjoy rollerblading too, while the other seems to enjoy gymnastics. It’s all equally encouraged.

To Cool’s comment, you suck man. Jojo luvs his skates, probably more than you. This is an awesome edit. Great to see someone who ACTUALLY enjoys skating! Everyone else in this site, is just posing and trying to act like a pro.
Jojo! great job buddy! soon you’ll be skating way better than ur dad Richie!
Much love to the Velasquez Family! Skating should be a family activity just like surfing is. peaceee!

This kid is going to be destroying parks in like 10 years, I cant wait haha.
November 27th, 2009 at 12:36 pm
He’s lucky ! I would have loved a childhood like that !
November 27th, 2009 at 12:42 pm
I don’t think it’s unfair at all for parents to ‘push’ their children onto a certain sport/activity, and I think 99% of parents out there do it. Any child who has a good connection with their father, where their father has a passion for something, be it anything from motorbikes, soccer, tennis, rollerblading or playing the drums, is going to be influenced by it.
I think it’s good that he’s wearing complete safety gear and not skating outside of his limits, he’s going to have a very good approach to rollerblading and not throw himself at things that could kill him before he has the skills to handle a situation like that.
November 27th, 2009 at 10:19 pm
that was amazing! just made my day. you dont often get to see a 3 and 6 year old body on skates.
November 28th, 2009 at 6:30 pm
this is amazing. My son is only 2 months old but he will have some JJ Jr’s as son as he is three. I cant wait for our father/son time to involve strapping them on. I hope he wants to be like his daddy too. Way to go Pam and Ritchie.
November 29th, 2009 at 4:06 am
