That was a dope clip however there was no real street so that we could see a full spectrum of his skills. I’ll say though with the new new school riding of mini ramps with these crazy tricks it’s gonna be interesting to see what becomes of him. I would have loved to see though, this kid conquer a real hand rail.
Oh, how in the hell do you keep those big ass headphones on your head while skating like that…. :) back in the day i would try that and on just half a spin they’d be flying somewhere while I’m busy trying not to fall.

Joe is a great skater for 15. He’ll be even more amazing in the next few years.
One last thing, if you are this good now, don’t get to cocky and stick with the sport. Remember its all about the love of skating and the friendships we build with other skaters. If sponsorship comes in play, then all that stuff is an added bonus.

2: Why does the rest of the world seem to not know that there are literally hundreds of 15yo park rats that are that good in the US?
3: People under 18 should never be on a team. They are too young, in most cases these kids get an attitude then quit because they think no one is giving them the respect that they think they deserve. They can be flow but not on a team.

it doesnt make any sense to wait til someone turns 18. i mean, cudot and atkinson are awesome an without support they cant travel and go to comps. all the legends got sponsored when they were teenagers (shima, haffey etc.).

18= the magical age of adulthood in most countries.
What happens when his sponsor has him sign a contract that he does not understand, and he/she defaults? The courts either tell the company that they fucked up and they have to eat the loss or they go after his parents.

Rollerblading was fucked from the start with large corporations like Walt Disney [Which owns ESPN], Rollerblade [Nordica inc], K2, salomon, and Bauer [Nike] tossing cash at minors to attempt to brain wash american kids into liking a new “cool” sport. The reason was none of these companies could ever dominate the 3 BILLION dollar a year business known as skateboarding. When their 10 year projections for the “new sport” showed to be flawed they all ran.
The truth is that skateboarding, biking, snowboarding, etc. will not touch a kid under 18 unless he/she is already beating the existing pros at every event the kid attends. In these cases the parents have already been paying the bills to get them around.

Ko…irrespective of age, if someone is making a product look good to others, with aesthetic influence and ability level, then it’s in a companies best interests to sponsor those sorts of people because they’re the one who are gona make people want to buy their stuff. Think back to when you first started skating; the adverts and edits of people sponsored who wore particular skates or items of clothing, they are the people who may have influenced you to buy a certain item. They certainly did for me; Senate kill team with their clothing for example. Plus, people like Joe also give younger skaters someone to relate to in terms of age; they’ll help sell to a younger audience.
More to the point Joe is sick, both park and street. Nice one boss.

it’s not about the kids being better than pros. all i wanted to say is that the industry has to look for talented kids and support those. it’s like in every sport. some professionals representing and some amateurs that still need some support to become pro some day. and some AMs never become pros but all in all as a company it is important to have an AM and a PRO team. Joe and Julien are both Chimera AM’s.
