As for Integrated, to be clear it is not my company, it is Mark Vanderboegh’s. Night is Mark and I’s company and Night is distributed by Integrated. Do I do what I can to promote and support Integrated? Of course, Mark is my friend, and he makes a lot of good happen in rollerblading, and that’s enough reason for me. If you want to be cynical and say that I do it just out of self-interest (i.e., if Integrated does well Night does well), to satisfy your little need to be negative, fine, go ahead.

USD pricing- I happen to know what Integrated’s margins are on the Powerslide stuff and they are very, very skinny. There are a lot more things in play with skate pricing than Integrated’s role, like international shipping, customs and brokerage fees, currency conversion, etc. To blame Integrated for Powerslide’s products getting slightly pricier is just ignoring the big picture.

And to be honest, who is really surprised about skates finally jumping a little in price? The prices have been the same since I started skating in 1996… about $300-$320 for a pro model, $250 or so for a mid-level skate, $150-$200 for an entry-level model, $100 or less for a generic big-box-store skate. Considering how much better skates have gotten since then, and how much skating’s population has shrank, I think it’s remarkable that only now are prices creeping up a bit.

That being said, AL this crap came from your company. The same company that jacked up the prices of powerslide products in the US. because of integrated, I now order my shit from europe. even after the shipping coat, it is still cheaper.
