a bit OTT me thinks, iv never had a problym with xsjado bolts digging in to me. the V-cut hmmmm maybe im still in to minds about that, but this is just to far. stop JC while you got the chance.

How would this mod make the skates weak or even ugly? your pants are going to cover it up mostly, and if you don’t like the way it skates or fits, you just take it off- there’s no modification to the skate itself.
Once again, idiots on RN talk shit because they can do so anonymously. I guarantee that if RN enacted registration for blog comments you idiots would be too scared or lazy to say 80% of the things you say.

to be honest its a pretty good idea, it looks really easy to make, and probably beefs the skate up a bit look and comfortability wise i mean theres nothing to lose here (other than an old tongue but thats not that big a deal?) if you dont like it then you just simply pull it off.

thats a matterfor JC to worry about mr Dumplings;), other than that its a interesting idea , the orgiginal tonuge wraping around the leg securly… and the other starping it in.. bit more flex forward with the padding inbetween we ll see when he does make a vid edit of these if it really does give the results. JC if your reading do this please.. would be sweet and eliminate any sceptics ;)

hmmm i kind of understand v cut but ive been skating xsjados for years and the tongue was never an issue. JC maybe you should try skating something else… xsjados aren’t working out to well for you, you are constantly modifying them. the reason i skate xsjado is due to the fact that i dont need to mod them with a different liner vcut etc…. since they fixed the twisting top straps i havent had any complaints… (new footwraps suck haha)
hmmm maybe you should go back to remz ?? they are vcut and they now come with a fat liner with a big tongue..
PS i would kill for new xsjados and 2faded

That being said, AL this crap came from your company. The same company that jacked up the prices of powerslide products in the US. because of integrated, I now order my shit from europe. even after the shipping coat, it is still cheaper.

This “crap” came from JC, Integrated just hosted it. He wanted to show skaters the mods he’s come up with, so that if anyone had similar problems or preferences they’d be aware of how he’s addressed them.
You kids can be as cynical as you want, and assign JC whatever ulterior motive you can think of for doing this kind of stuff, but it really is just as simple as JC thinking his mods might help someone out there and wanting to share.
As for Integrated, to be clear it is not my company, it is Mark Vanderboegh’s. Night is Mark and I’s company and Night is distributed by Integrated. Do I do what I can to promote and support Integrated? Of course, Mark is my friend, and he makes a lot of good happen in rollerblading, and that’s enough reason for me. If you want to be cynical and say that I do it just out of self-interest (i.e., if Integrated does well Night does well), to satisfy your little need to be negative, fine, go ahead.
USD pricing- I happen to know what Integrated’s margins are on the Powerslide stuff and they are very, very skinny. There are a lot more things in play with skate pricing than Integrated’s role, like international shipping, customs and brokerage fees, currency conversion, etc. To blame Integrated for Powerslide’s products getting slightly pricier is just ignoring the big picture.
And to be honest, who is really surprised about skates finally jumping a little in price? The prices have been the same since I started skating in 1996… about $300-$320 for a pro model, $250 or so for a mid-level skate, $150-$200 for an entry-level model, $100 or less for a generic big-box-store skate. Considering how much better skates have gotten since then, and how much skating’s population has shrank, I think it’s remarkable that only now are prices creeping up a bit.

One last thing… anyone who has a genuine question to ask or bone to pick with JC, Integrated, or myself, feel free to do so in person at Bittercold Showdown. We’ll be at the Integrated booth during the tradeshow, in the crowd for the comp (skating in it in JC’s case), and at the movie premiere afterwards.
The difference between what I say online, and what anonymous shit-talkers say online, is that I have my name (and often face) attached to what I say, and I’m perfectly willing to discuss it in real life.
