think its good to see new players getting into the game… saturated … really… , if you guys at haunted can prove to come up with good quality… ill support.. better than supporting george powell aka powell peralta who runs Eulogy wheels.. pff

i say fuck yes to skater owned brands.. think we all should support the brands in our industry… and good talent..

  4. Dom from Bx Says:

Awesome artwork on your personal site Scott Wygmans. Looking forward to seeing your wheels. Don’t listen to any of the anonymous pussies flapping on this shitblog. Welcome to the game dudes.

  5. Yi Yiiiiiiiiii Says:

A guy on here is going to tell the people running a company what rollerblading needs. Funny.

  8. Andy from Razors Says:

Im assuming you put your friends in this edit because it was awful. These werent clips in the least and the ediingt was obnoxious. Fuck straight off please.

  9. Anonymous Says:

another scummy wheel company to oversaturate the market with very low quality wheels and presumably a shit team :p

  10. Anonymous Says:

shredweiser rip off. Why not try to do something unique or different?

this company is based out of Michigan. I assume in or at least claiming Detroit.
that edit had some cool tricks. the falls were dumb.
    Michigan is definitely loving blading.

  14. Anonymous Says:

Art work is shit! That’s about as constructive as I can get. No one rolling these wheels that I can believe has put them through rigorous testing. Sorry until you sponser someone legit you ain’t getting anyone’s money and even then it could do a fester. Good look getting distribution

  18. Chris Couture Says:

regardless of industry crap.. Derek Mclain is a michigan hero, he rode for k2 back in the day and pro for sixwonsix… Josh jones, rode for deshi, pretty sure I saw Brian Weis in there, he currently rides for SSM… All michigan hereos… if you don’t know this, you shouldn’t call yourself a blader… true story… Air…

  19. lol Says:

Who the fuck needs another wheel company? Seriously, why are these wheels better than what’s on the market? You want me to buy these because the owners skate in Michigan? Make some skater owned underwear so I can crap in it.

  20. rollerblading is gay Says:

damn you fags need to troll harder. lol

  21. king Says:

how is that an introduction to a wheel company? just low quality skating of random people no ones ever heard of explaining nothing about the products. might as well have shown a justin beiber video

    “That shit ain’t swag

    Swag skaters > scum skaters

    Bladerrrrrrganggg!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

You are what’s wrong with Rollerblading. John Bolino had Aragon’s bag of street tricks before he could legally buy a pack of cigarettes, meanwhile Aragon is playing catch up to grab his spins and do those grinds on things the size of what John does. Joey Chase does bigger rails and gaps than any swag skater. Julian Bah and Franky Morales were killing shit with a bag of crazy switch ups long before many of the people around these days. See, it’s not about swag vs. scum. It’s about skill in different areas. This just shows how little you really know. You’re probably some faggot with a 3-2-1 faded faux hawk, gucci shades that you borrowed from your Mom, and lipgloss, duckfacing at the all ages party trying to pull that ugly plastic chick with no IQ or personality. Then swapping stories in the locker room on Monday’s Gym class about how you ALMOST got laid.

The only way Rollerblading will grow and expand is through more companies, new people, and recognition of those that have been putting it down for years that never got a big spotlight. The reason skateboarding and BMX are so big is because they are heavily saturated industries, with tons of rider owned companies. So, bogging on this is like saying “Rollerblading MUST be little forever.” if that’s the case maybe you should quit rollerblading because rollerblading will grow, and it will bloom into something far greater than you can envision.

Most BMX frame companies are rider owned, such as Fit, Cult, Skavenger, Subrosa, Bone Deth, and many more. Skateboarding companies like Birdhouse, Baker, Death Wish, DGK, Almost. They’re founded by OG’s that rode for Big Corps and parted ways, like Shima. So, go ahead and talk trash about Swag vs. Scum… because Scum made the biggest step rollerblading has ever seen. The worlds first independent and skater owned boot company.

Rollerblading needs more Brian Shima’s, JJ’s, Latimer’s, Billy O’Niell’s, Tory Treseder’s, and so many more.

Are you for real dude? Josh Petty, Grycon, re release? Did you NOT see what happen when Razors re released the Shima III to aMall? People went fucking APE SHIT and they were gone in the blink of an eye. Maybe not a Grycon, but an classic throne re release, yeah, it would go places. Just like the Coup de Tat sold without issues. Hell, USD could probably make more Grycons and sell them with newer USD liners and call it a “Tribute Run” and those shits would be gone in the blink of an eye.

TL;DR = Me ranting at under educated and moronic cunts.

2R Says: “Another company in an already over saturated, tiny industry.

    that’ll help rollerblading grow…”

It’s not about per se helping rollerblading grow. Ever think that maybe blading is in the strong state of smaller local markets owned and operated by bladers? Or would you rather see blading depicted by corporate brands and sold at TJ Maxx and JC Penny.

Why do you think there is no money in blading. It’s not about the money or industry or making blading grow. Sure there will always be big boot companies and a necessity for this national/international boot market. However, smaller companies have a unique opportunity to showcase unseen talent, new choices of artwork/style, and support their local scenes.

Shredweiser & Fester are just some of the smaller companies that are showcasing really fuckin tight blading at a more “local” level and doing it right. I would argue that there should be even MORE local choices of products and more choices of quality.
    ________________________________

Michigan blading is widespread across the state and most of these doods film their own content usually on a Gopro or DSLR that they purchased themselves. It’s difficult to argue that there’s even one primary videographer in the state filming on a consistent basis. About 85% of this edit was filmed by these bladers themselves (and not specifically for this edit in particular).

If you don’t dig what we’re creating, plain and simple, don’t support it.

These hate comments are comical. They sound like they are coming from high schoolers who think they know branding and rollerblade products. Maybe you should spend more time blading, creating edits, and showcasing your local talent? Maybe then Rollernews wouldn’t have such a bad reputation for having so many trolls… and who knows, maybe we’ll see some good local blading…. but probably not, because you’re too busy jumping on the bandwagon of anonymous posting.

For those bladers looking for products with sick new artwork & showcasing blading that we think is fuckin baddass, look out for HAUNTED wheels and follow the blog.

  33. some guy Says:

I’m from MI and know the GR dudes pretty well… so as long as they don’t skate like the later Senate wheels, those will be the wheels I get from now on.

That being said… I’m not sure why this is such a big mystery to people but corporate owend blading is how u get rich… yeah yeah yeah, skate for fun and all that shit. That’s great, but Shimas not gonna retire off his company, Jon Julios not gonna retire of his, Billy Oniel isn’t gonna retire off his. And honestly that’s just sad. Cuz they spent most of their lives working fuckin hardfor something they love and they won’t get an equal share of what they put in.

But I have to ask, do u think that if Wal Mart or some major corp came to Shima and offered 10 million for his boot co and designs, he would say “no”?… if he did, that would be incredibly irresponsible of him.

Skater owned, that’s all well and good, but maybe you OGs don’t remember but major corporations are what MADE this industry. K2, Salomon, Rollerblade, Roces, even Levi jeans sponsored Aaron Feinberg… granted, they’re not as big as they used to be or non existent but u gotta understand that rollerblading wasn’t their main focus… and instead of hating on them (like SO MANY bladers do) we should be saying “thank God they were around.” I’ve lost count frm how many rollers I’ve met who said their first pair of aggressive skates were K2 Salomon or Rollerblade… Fuck I’ll even support Cores as long as it gets some kid into rollerblading.

  34. some guy Says:

And why hate?… just don’t buy the wheels if u don’t want them… maybe they’ll be around for a while, maybe they won’t… nothing lasts forever… if there’s 1 thing this industry has taught us, its that… and its not like they decided to make wheels cuz “they wanna make the industry better”. They wanted to make something that caters to their style… u want something done right, do it urself… cuz I HIGHLY DOUBT they said to each other “hey u know what, let’s make an aggressive rollerblading wheel company! Wheel be millionairs in no time!”

and just maybe if they’re still around when rollerblading gets huge again (and it will, everything goes full circle. Its just a matter of time) they’ll be the next Element or DC or Fame or Zoo York.

here’s something to think about… when rollerblading gets huge again, who do u think WILL BE the corporations?

  37. scott c. Says:

Your graphics are terrible. That look is so played out now, its not new or fresh at all. Its old and boring . I think your company is going in the wrong direction, eventually leading to your companies demise. I know it…… you will FAIL. . and your wheel quality will probably be CRAP too. the truth hurts.

Bladeventure and Snowy Day in the Mitten Competition

I’ve contributed footage for the newest SixWonSix film and a few others.

On a lighter note, thanks for sharing your work. SERIOUSLY. Most people just spew their opinion without backing up themselves. I appreciate that and respect that…

As for what have I don’t for rollerblading? – Not enough, yet. I’m always refining my skills in production and of coarse am hoping to continue supporting my scene on a higher level of video. Along with that, I am helping HAUNTED with some of their multimedia work.
