Imagine a show competition. Peruibe was like that. It was a huge show where the rock stars were the best skaters in with insane tricks and lots of technique. Three categories woman’s, amateur, and professional, made the show. Congratulations to Maicão and his troop who planned and executed the event.

Our trip started in Belo Horizonte, capital of Minas Gerais, at 8AM, Thursday 20th of July. With me were Saulinho and his girl, Thais. I ran a little late couldn’t find my DL we left to São Paulo 9:30AM, I had a photo session to shoot there.

Friday morning we headed towards Peruíbe, on the road SP-160 (Régis Bittencurt). The road of death, which now is not so bad after the duplication, the only bad part is around kilometer 57, full of curves, old bridges and speed bumps.

The locals of Peruibe rented a house for us to stay in. The camp car crew from small towns of the SP state also stayed in a rent apartment. We all spend like 4 dollars a night, having a place to shit and sleep and making cheaper our trip.

Maicão prepared the competition in small Jam Sessions; the new park is so perfect most skaters had a hard time getting to know the transitions. This made the competition more interesting because we all had to re-think our techniques to trough old tricks. Saturday was the amateur classifiers and the semi-finals, the skater that most got attention was Daniel Tamanda (Flowteam Powerslide Brasil), and he was simply playing around in the park.While Darciel had some problems in the first day (broken foot)

On Sunday, big responssabilities. Girls Competition, Pro Classifiers, Amature Finals, and Pro Finals.

The girls did a good job; unfortunately, some big names were missing like Ângela Araújo, Cínara, Celina, Mary, between others. This time the attention was all to Nathália, Paola Faustino and Érika Tavares, the 3 finalists.

The amateur finals really promised a good show athletes gave there best on Sunday. Like winner Luiz Cláudio, and finalists Makarrão, Kalleo, Fábio Ferreira, Antônio Wandeco, Felipe, and well… We missed Vinícius Yoshimoto! I couldn’t believe he went to the waterfalls!.

The Pro finals highlights were Vandinho (Powerslide Brasil), Pedrinho Pedrigree (Brasil Inline), who comes from the classic school of, Guaratinguetá, home of Caio Germano (Powerslide Brasil) and Vinicius Peru.

On the finals Caio Germano ripped shit out, spinning in and out of grinds, huge 900´s, and lots of transfers and grinds in new unthinkable places. Zamba also made a flow line and was able to make it third once he got back his mojo and had fun. But lets be honest, like JP said, Fabinho skated more than anyone there! He was pure happiness, 900 here, 900 there, 450 this, 540 that, 540 truespin something else, better not say it anymore, download the video. Watch it.
