    I did a little research.

    It seems Jager Engineering Ltd. [http://www.jageng.com/garage9/], the parent company, is one of those “import” companies that specialise in sweatshop goods. All the products they “import” are non-licended, cheaply produced items being sold to shops at the same price as legit products. Bottom line is they buy cheap, sweatshop or open production goods and sell them to retailers with a substantial mark up.

    There was a company in LA a while back that was doing the same kind of “importing” of nissan engines, cars and products. It turned out that 90% of the things they were selling were stolen by organized crime groups in Asia and shipped to the US. The US government shut them down and arrested the owners that didn’t flee the country before the bust. This is the reason why you can no longer import whole R34 skylines and S15 silvias to the USA.

    see I heard that secretly Barack Obama went to China and stole the mold. then sold it to a man from Nicaragua who then in turn signed a contract with his President Daniel Ortega who then turned around with the boot mold plans and sold them to a retired race horse who then ran (not as fast as when in his prime) all the way back to China (over the ocean).

    The backlash of this forced Ortega out of the country until he got a call from the official head of rollerblading (Arlo Eisenberg) who worked out a deal with China and China turned around and sold the plans to Fluid Motion, who just like Powerslide: love using sweatshop labour to produce their products.

    at the end of the day everyone (minus the horse) had beers and it was all good.
