As i said in forum whats the point?
December 6th, 2006 at 12:42 pm
For the h-block it’s a cheap way to skate, all kid don’t have enough money to buy frames each weeks.
And creativity is something good, i guess :)
December 6th, 2006 at 1:09 pm
Uhm.. It’s fun too.. Lots of reasons to do stuff like that..
December 6th, 2006 at 1:53 pm
thats cool..building your own shit
December 6th, 2006 at 1:58 pm

December 6th, 2006 at 5:13 pm
cool.. yeah, back when i started skating, I made my own wrap around grind plates out of sheet metal… hehe. made my own plastic grind plates eventually as well… maybe I’ll post pics sometime
December 6th, 2006 at 5:22 pm
yeah thats cool
December 6th, 2006 at 5:26 pm
there is no point in making them anf they look like they would be pretty bad, wat is the h block even made of looks like wax in the second pic.

I think you may be forgetting that customization and making your own products is where much of the industry got its start. Heck, I remember people drilling the holes for a wider gap in their frames and a bunch of other stuff… It’s people that are willing to try things themselves that will eventually try something that’s never been done before — don’t just disregard it as “no point in making them”… That’s like saying there’s no point in building your own PC cuz you can just buy a Dell…
December 6th, 2006 at 9:24 pm
is t possible to make a pair of frames out of pure UHMW?
i know kizer has done it, but think about it. if someone can do it again and make it even better, that will be cool.
December 7th, 2006 at 1:49 am
creative. Unfortunately ,I care too much how my frames look though. Making your own skate stuff is fun though.I customize every pair of skates I ever buy, build lots of stuff to skate on, and make my own super secret recepie skate wax. I wonder how sturdy those frames are?

Jeff,
You are right on, 100%! If it wasnt for people modifying shit, none of us would be rolling the sweet as skates they have now adays. Get yourself a pair of TRS rollerblade lightnings and try to soul a handrail. After you get back up off the fucking concrete, KNOW THIS, DAVE ORTEGA was doing it switch on kinked handrails when most of you were an itch in your daddys pants! Experimentation is the mother of invention!

PN congragulations on being one pf the stipidest people ever “wat is the h block even made of looks like wax in the second pic.” its plastick u idiot. those frames look really nice. good job whoever made them. i love the idea of replacing beet up old h blocks with uhmw wish i had the supplies t make stuff like that
December 7th, 2006 at 5:11 am
i think that would be cool. you can design the parts to exactly how you need them. when i royale i miss the groove in my razors so thats be tight if i could get a skate that had the groove hwere i would like it
December 7th, 2006 at 5:56 am
thats a good idea i think i might try that with some old frames i hate. Moonshine has a bunch of uhmw i could use.
December 7th, 2006 at 10:02 am
great ! all the old schools remember when we were used to tune our skates in order to reach a better, safer an more durable skating. Nothing compared with today’s hardware : ufs frames, replacebable soul systems, cuffs…
Building a ufs home made frame is a now easier than in the past but i’m affraid there’s not enough people out there with the creativity and passion for this. R.E.S.P.E.C.T.

Yeah i agree from once said already.
Whitch is that in old days grinding was alot harder as there was almost like no soulspace…They were good.
Mucho leaning to the grinding area…
Anyhows I think its cool if one can make own stuff.
Gets them how wants.
Nice homemade H-blocks:P
