Inspirational intro, level of production is how it should be.
Nice fast cuts and good flow to the music. Max reminds me of a european Will Gordon.
Really enjoyed that
that last zero spin was really good.
but i find the artsy filming with leaves and trees between the shot so useless and obvious, just film the skating and stop playing around trying to be an artist
exactly…nowadays there is more work in editing than in the skating and tricks…that was the other way back in the days…I dont have anything against this wonderful editing, especially the intro was very nice, becouse often it would be cool, to get such an introduction o a skater to know more off them, but in my opinion the skating is more important, and for me, i dont like his skating so much and if there wasnt this professissional editing and filming, i wouldnt say its an edit that could come into a dvd, but nice section if you look at the whole thing…
oh i forgot, I liked that backslide alot and this zerogap at the end was also very stylsih…but the rest…hmm looks like you hadnt enough time to film enough clips to choose the best,, becouse some of these tricks I really would not use in this section…like some spots which were so small, and this 540s ^^ omg
i (personally) dont like the section. song puts me asleep faster than you can order a pizza.
you can see the effort they put in filming and editing which is good -
but the skating is not what i want to see – 540 over that garbagebagshitstuff must be the ugliest 540 evah.
also the 360 over the curb to frontsavanna stall is less than worth filming even with a mobile phone.
MY OPINION.
Liked the into… enjoyed all the fancy ass editting… 2nd edit however I had high expectations for (after going to town on the into)… so thought it was a bit shit! If I had not had a build up I think I would have thought it was average at best, :-*
Just watched this for the second time today. Love the cross grab backslide and the launch to fish on the electric box. I dont know how people can bitch on this guy? Its a breath of fresh air from seeing 100% rail based sections.
skating was aight, style was good, production was well thought out and clean. Alot of young editors could learn alot from that piece. You notice there werent any weird aftereffects or crazy fades, burns, and flahes, or much slow mo and the edit came out fire. Imagine that was a really good skater in that edit, it would have been epic.
