Help Derek French
Revolution team rider Derek French was involved in a car accident Wednesday - February 8th. He broke his jaw in two places and cut up his legs pretty bad. Derek is in the Intensive Care Unit in Arizona, and is facing reconstructive surgery for his jaw, and has upwards of 40+ staples in his legs. He has no medical insurance, and his car was totalled, so now he’s left with medical bills and car payments along with his 10 month old daughter to provide for.
Good news is he has family and friends who care and love him very much. Derek will only get better from here on out with our support.

Do any skate companies provide medical insurance for their riders? If not that’s crazy. I’m talking about the big companies Rollerblade, Roces, K2?

it must be fucked up to live in america with your fucked up health system. get into an accident or get cancer or some shit and you gotta sell your house to pay for the medical. that’s fucking sad.

ty, you are totally right. we do have it tough. i have been working a lot in politics this past year and most of the organizations i am working with are trying to fix this awful situation we have with health care. basically it doesnt make any sense for the united state of america, which is supposed to be the “beacon of hope,’ if you will, for the world, to not have universal health insurance.

The European system will crash though. You people want everything for free. But you have a declining population, every year it’s going to be more and more unlikely you’ll be able to maintain your socialistic way of life. That’s okay though, you’ll be a radical muslim majority before long. Though if you’re from Canada I take that all back because Canada rocks.
