Hasselt Skatepark (Belgium)

Since May 2006 a 3000 sqm sized skatepark awaits riders in Hasselt, Belgium near the german border.
The first european skateplaza, following american examples which are skatable in one line, was built here. Rails, stairs and ledge in best quality are understood and a pool including a visor (vert corner) satisfies every transition lover.

I don’t found this park in Belgium, but in Holland, near Maastricht, in Limburg.

C’est vraiment en Belgique (mais fort prêt de la frontière avec la Hollande effectivement), mais au risque de vous decevoir… Eh bien ça pue un peu la merde… Non, j’exagère, mais franchement, à moins d’y rouler réellement seul, c’est assez compliqué à gérer. En revanche, le bowl avait l’air franchement bien. Mais seul au milieu de 40 vélos, c’est assez tendu de s’y risquer. Ce qui rattrape vraiment le truc, c’est… Le MacDo.

yes this park is in belgium
and yes the city is called hasselt
i skate there sometimes because i live in antwerp
but its an cool park the only negative points are that everything is very low
but still nice to skate and its FREE

Hasselt is in Belguim, not far away from Liege. About 2h30 hours from Luxembourg

A similar park will be build in Leuven and a skateplaza has been made in Brussels to near the central station, check out the conference tour vid for that one.

The park is cool and all but everything is way too low, and Jochen should be spanked for not letting us know he was there…he always wants to be alone on the pictures…

WOW!! and thats only a 3andahalf hour drive from my town :) lol they need to built parks like that over here… if i show you some pics of our “parks” youll be laughing bc its so sad.

I wish i had a skate park like that. just a street course with a few park ramps here and there. thats looks so good to session right now.

this is not the first euro skateplaza ! first one was build in gdansk, poland - we had rfcc the game eliminations there last week, it was opened like 3 months ago !

The guy who wrote “finally a good skatepark in belgium” has no shame… Especially when the the one he describes as a good park is the shittiest one compared to all the incredible places you can find in Belgium (Courtrai is just a prime example of that)…
