personally, i base all my hardware and t-shirt decisions on the companies’ riders’ hairstyles… i find that my frames just don’t slide well and my shirts just don’t look the same if their do’s are lacking. how about you?

i think he’s just playing it safe… he did some crazy shit back in the day! he was suicidal! but that shima is gone… he’s older, more mature and more inventive and has just been experimenting with his skates… it’s like stockwell… he’s not been doing any hammers but it’s still awesome to watch him skate coz he just throws inventive tricks all over! it’s like (i may be wrong), back in the day shima tried so hard to keep it on the highest level and now he’s just having fun!

Cosmik, People don’t love Shima because of his technical skills. Have you ever noticed how HUGE his tricks are on a consistant basis. Even though his tech skills are pretty good too, amplitude is Shima’s claim to fame. I would have to say that the only people who go nearly as big as Shima would have to be Haffey& Aragon,and maybe Broskow back in the day.(all top notch skaters) Every skater has flaws…Haffey has only ok style, Aragon is not creative at all, Broskow has scared himself into skating smaller, Farmer relies on top souls like there all he can do. The point is, not every great skater is going to do the things that you like most.And WOW did you say he is lazy? You must be on Crack Cocaine my friend , because Shima has been one of the most innovative skaters in our industry for YEARS now. Post a section of you doing maybe 3 or 4 of the same stunts that Shima has done in the last 4 years, and I will kiss your feet.

what a lot of people fail to realize as well, is that you can only skate that scale of stuff for so long, and shima has been doing it longer than almost anyone still skating. look at the stuff he was skating in the medium videos, nearly ten years ago; it’s still massive by today’s standards. the human body, even a tiny one like shima’s, haha, just can’t tolerate that level of abuse indefinitely.
