Do you remember the lime-green Night prototype parts ? The news was posted on my old blog the 21st of October 2004 here.
Al Dolega posted some infos about the limited ed of the Green Ceramic Uhmw Night Parts :
As some of you may have already heard, there is a small batch of limited-edition Night parts now available on www.shopintegrated.com, made of Super Ceram, a super-exclusive lime green ceramic/UHMW hybrid plastic. Super Ceram is much harder than our normal UHMW, which makes it even more durable and a good bit faster on all objects, especially metal and coping.
The color is, well, unique- some will love it and some will hate it. Unfortunately the chemical makeup of Super Ceram dictates the color and doesn’t allow for additional colorants to be added that would give us more “normal” color choices. Personally, i like it- it’s as unique as our parts are in the first place. And why make a limited-edition product that looks just like all the other ones?
Super Ceram is a high-end plastic that’s normally much, much too pricey for us to make parts with (the retail prices would be close to twice what they are now), but i did a little wheelin’ and dealin’ with our supplier a few weeks ago and secured a small batch (a few dozen square feet- just enough for a limited run of a few types and sizes of parts) for a price low enough for us to sell the parts direct to consumers for a decent price.
The parts have now been machined and the webshop has been updated, so they’re ready to ship right from Integrated to your door. We do offer international shipping but you’ll need to email mark (info@integrated-dist.com) for an exact price quote as our site cannot supply one. Our Xsjado souls and Fiziks Hitchiker blocks are also available on the site, so snap some of those up too!

they should make the plate go up to the boot. so that it can protect the boot from wear.

the plates do protect the shell from wear, as they stick out a bit. machining them out of thicker material so we could have parts that wrap up around would double or triple the price of the plates.
