even though jake dotson kills everyone else with his trick vocab in his section. i think jeremy sodenburg fits better with the whole franco shade image. i can’t picture any of the other entries fitting that style if you catch my drift. that’s probably because i like more refined styles over roboto, except the original mr. roboto- he’s sickkk. i want to make an entry, but it probably won’t happen because i have no one to edit my shit! i’d probably lose anyway. lol. nice edits though. i like the dude who used the GLUE instrumental. very good choice of music. oh, and i’ve never met any of these cats in person otherwise that might have influenced my opinion differently. p.s. i got my tusk cardigan franco shade hoody and another franco shade t-shirt recently. Franco Shade is making the sickest designs lately. nuff said.

That’s a fair assumption. Bossman. Jake is what 17 as you said. Jeremy is like 22 maybe. jake has some really nice switch ups and even though Jeremy didn’t show his, he actually can do all his tricks both ways and does switch ups I can’t even do on the ground while standing still. Some of these tricks that jake did are really easy but the fact that he did them on down rails made them nice tricks. I’m not gonna act like I can do those tricks on a down rail. (Maybe if I really wanted to, but I have things to do like be able to do long division and math problems, research history and such things so I’ll leave these heavy falls to you guys). However Jeremy fits the Franco Shade image, Jake has nice tricks but once it’s down to who’s a better fit, it’s gonna be Jeremy. Jake should be with [B] Unique. Those guys would be able to mold him into someone that could truly carry a line on their shoulders. Like Ramelle/Aragon/O’Neil/Kelso.
I have nothing bad to say about Any of these riders or the people commenting but I checked a few guys who made comments to other people that were very rude. This is a place to voice our opinions on the subject at hand. Not talk shit about people cause we have our identities hidden.

I agree with portas Best edit by far is Dotson. He doesnt have much style and he is a spin to win it kid, but hes what 17 and the amount of tricks he has you cant deny the fact when he becomes more seasoned hes going to be the next nearest thing to aragon or the closest anyone will come to being that good. Also his style isnt bad just plain. But I do somewhat agree sodeberg fits the image and his and the other edits were really good too. I like jeremys skating a lot too cause he skates different original stuff its cool and interesting and has unique style but i perfer the type of tricks jake chooses to do over budget switches thats just me
all in all best edit overall: jake. for franco: probably jeremy or jake

I agree with Deniseisatwat.
Jake is good but…
1. doesn’t fit Franco at all.
2. Still hasn’t shown that he can hold a trick all by itself.
3. Jeremy does wear a lot of designer clothes look at Teach Them Well. The after party this kid was sportin some 200 dollar shoes with two chicks on his arms. Ballin..
4. Jake should be sponsored but not by Franco, but by Razor. He actually fits their team and their image.
5. Scott isn’t even in the competition. Same goes for Erik.
The personality is the key to selling more of your product. Not just when you’re on film but when you’re simply skating. When you’re out and about. All these guys may be nice guys and dope riders but what’s really good for the company. That’s a question that the Management should be asking themselves. Which rider truly embodies FS lifestyle. Dreads or no dreads. Which one speaks volumes solely by the way they carry themselves. By their outward appearance as well as inner. I Feel that Jeremy above all else has the best to give Franco shade when it comes to a rider who can be a role model as well as a spokes person for the skating community. He looks good on camera, (no homo) But he looks like an action sports star.

While dotson may be amazing, he doesn’t fit franco shades style! NONE of the edits have fit the franco mold so far except jeremy, and don’t forget theres a ton of edits we’re not seeing.

i agree that all 3 minute edits should be disqualified. 1:30 or you’re out. make it fair for everyone.

I HAVE YET TO SEE ANYONE THAT HAS PERSONALITY/STYLE SHOTS!!!! isn’t that what FS is looking for?!
Only reason jeremy fits this mold is because people say he does. to me, it looks like he just wears plain tees and khakis. not very street wear to me, but the dreads/style of skating fit.

instead of picking one person franco should make a small team.

but scott we each have our own opinion, and what do you do on a forum, you discuss things. i would rather have two disputing sides than everyone agreeing on the same thing all the time. dont care what peopel think of your style or what ever. everyone is entitled to their own opinion no matter if they talk shit or not. and from what they have said here its barely talking “shit”. thats something most kids here need to learn. share your opinion and lets get a feel for how everyone feels about a skater or topic.
remember each person has their own different perception of things in life. everything, learn to understand that people.

Yo. I’ve skated with Jeremy and I’ve watched these two new edits. Jeremy by far should win. This kid never leaves the house without a pair of 300 dollar pants on, his own personalized custom made kicks and great underground music to skate to. He films a lot and is an editing guru. He’s been in at least 5 videos, Knows everyone in the industry and can kill most of the pros at a game of skate. He has switch-ups that no one can topl. Hell I’ve tried some of his easier ones and I’m still perfecting them after two years of trying..

His room is a freaking Nike shrine. He has more shoes than P. Diddy. He also has some of the freshest clothes I’ve ever seen anyone go skating in. his edit was pretty innovative and very unique. It wasn’t the same tricks.

Scott loves to do groove tricks. He had no spin tricks into anything. It’s easy to do a spin trick once your on the rail/ledge but not getting up to it.

Jake. He’s a dope rider but from what I’ve seen, he has great switch-ups, he can spin to grind but can he actually hold his balance. I mean back savy across a curvy ass handicap rail is way harder than hurricane top soul on a down rail. Fast slide across a whole rail/ledge is far harder than 3 switch-ups. Plus I’ve seen Jeremy actually do frontside fast slide across the whole coping at soutgate skatepark that’s a really long coping that curves, and he did fast slide as well as doing front savy to true-spin back savy just cause I bet he couldn’t do it.

so i dont usually post on here and to tell the truth was quite shocked that my edit was posted up here, but i’m really confused. first off, scotty2hyphy is just a nickname and i’ve been to the bay a few times and love the style there, thats why i love the hyphy shit and thats why people call me that. secondly, “king koopah” who are you? i have skated with MAYBE 3 people that have also skate with jake? dont get me wrong, jakes edit was amazing, but to tell the truth, most of the spots in my edit are spots that ive seen maybe 1 or 2 other clips from other people doing tricks on them if that. “franco needs flava not kid that looks likes a plastic bag caught in an up draft”? i really dont understand why people talk shit on people they dont know for no reason…

I just re-watched all the edits that people submitted. First off, for all those kids with 3 minute edits should be disqualified. I think that’s unfair because you were supposed to turn in a 90 second edit etc. Most of the skaters that did submit are all forgetable except Jeremy Soderburg. He was memorable. I agree with LSx, Jeremy brings a unique, great style, and skates creative stuff. Jeremy is Mr. Nike / Fashion, haha. His personal lifestyle fits Franco Shade.

ok so basically i have skated with both these kids and know whats good, jake can do every trick scott can do both ways and probably first try, and can skate a lot a stuff. i have skated the spots scott skates and there all basic perfect spots with no difficultly level, franco needs flava not kid that looks likes a plastic bag caught in an up draft. if anything jake or jeremy should take it. and jake is like 17 and can do everything both ways
