About Bape :
A Bathing Ape (with a line of apparel called Bape) is a Japanese clothing company that specializes in urban streetwear.
It began in 1993 as a T-shirt brand and originated out of the Harajuku area of Shibuya in Tokyo becoming one of the very first Japanese streetwear brands to start in the early 1990s. Bape’s logo and themes are all derived from the original Planet of the Apes movies. The brand’s name is based on a common Japanese saying, “bathing in lukewarm water,” that describes the willingness of Japan’s youth to follow popular trends.

On another note, our fall line release party will be next Friday the 25th at AKA (formerly Scorpion lounge). This is also a make up party for our mishap at the Day After event. To make it up to you guys who came out last time Babu from the world famous Beat Junkies will be spinning.

I like how rollerbladings become viod from the website so they can fit in with the LA ‘coolguys’, whats with the bape reference in the thread title?this gear has nothing in common with a bathing ape they didnt design the all over print,true nigo brought it to a peak in the scene.Franco are now just another LA brand involved in the circle jerk that is US streetwear.Its all so boring.all over prints are for clowns,and kid pajams

BROCKLESSY i think you will find this is more original than teh rolling tee or hoody you have this is custom cut and sew with all over print and many nice features - but you wouldnt know or understand.

ucon and franco are the only worth while clothing brands in rolling today. ive been rolling for 14 years and seen a lot of brands come and go but ive never seen a crossover into streetwear. I think this is needed to bring us up from the low point we are at.

COOL ACCOMPLISHMENT FOR THE GUYS AT FRANCO SHADES.. only a few problems personaly i think bape is a ego dragging pathetic desgn clothing line which people who feel the need to add a couple more inches to there dick get… another thing it was hard enough to afford franco shade stuff an now its a calaboration with bape ohh mann. i gotta give it to u guys at franco shade thow thas some nice marketing plan best of luck to u guys ,,,il stick to my ragadey ripd staind cloths they fit me best =0) after all i am a skater , all my cloths have rips in them due to skating it would suck to open my closet an see my 900$ franco bape joint messd up

a bathing ape should not even be mentiond in any sentance including any of the ‘labels’ above. a bathing ape is a ‘brand’ they sell a lifestyle nigo is basically a marketing genius with what he has bulit up without ever having 1 print add.he is in a legue of his own.most peoples im sorry if im generalising here opinion of bape is drawn on what they have seen donut american hip pop artists wearing over the last 3 years.
francos not an ape rip off not in the same ball game at all,franco are a label at best theysold out there branding by vioding rolling from there ads and press,so now what lifestyle do they have to sell.they are scraping arpund the barrel in the streetwear game backslapping with the best of them to try and get some ’street rep’ which is a real sad state of affairs.you only do great things by pushing the boundries they have artits capable i think of it in arlo but seems they are choosing to sit within the saftey net of whats ‘cool’ instead of pushing that boundrie.

i love the new FRSH line! franco shade is such and original clothing companey i love how their clothing that the have appeals to more than just inline skaters. i think if franco shade put their product out to more than just skaters they would make a lot of money of the non inline comunity because everyone would wear their clothing.
