FoxCarolina: Rollerblading on the Local News Station

quoting a mail from Ddodge04:
Talked to the sports guy at this News Station I work for about this AIL comp that came through last weekend here in Greenville, SC and one of our reporters came out to cover it, I thought this was pretty cool.

Good stuff. Just wait until the average person realizes how cool rollerblading can be….skateboarding will be a thing of the past and this time we won’t mess things up.

Baptiste..c’est quand meme minable ce que tu dis.. c’est en disant ce genre de commentaire BAS que tu rends le roller detestable au yeux des autres !!

I think is pretty cool to see how rollerblading is evolving even though it has been excluded from the X games ( BTW do yoiu know why ? )
and althought this milf looks kinda dumb.. it’s awesome to see how she seems deeply interested in what his son(s) do..

thats bloody awsum! to see our sport getting coverage , all over the world especially in the USA since thats where our sport started, heard that CJ wellsmore will be in the AIL comp (Australia) so it will be interesting to see some other nashonalities representing their country.

it would have been better if they got the tricks they were doing instead of a quick clip
still better than nothing

Awesome exposure! The camera guys didn’t get nearly enough clips! The story sucked really hard but it’s good for us.

im a camera man for my news station i work for and so any big rollerblading events i always talk the sports guys into covering it seeing as to how we are very good friends whats even more awsome is that they let me film it because they know i know the sport better than they do and all they do is look pretty for the camera haha its freakin rad to see this

finally some decent exposure. they made it look cool and respectable. its also good that they geared the coverage towards parents who may now encourage their children to try it. i love television

^^uhh… i hope you’re like 14, whoever you are, cuz she didn’t look much older… But anyway SWEET COVERAGE! great to see some mainstream media exposure that doesn’t treat us like a goddamn circus act! That mom really seemed like she had an understanding for what skating can teach kids as well, which is awesome. also whoever it was with the big hair that was airing has mad style.

Im just glad i didnt see anyone posting comments about it not being footy of pros and all and I’m glad t see people understand that any exposure is good for the sport, the news lady even realized that only coordinated people could do our sport. Actually some props given there

You work at WHNS in Greenville? Are you studio camera or photog? I work at WCBD in Charleston, which is why i ask. I skated Greenville once back in the day and Columbia almost every weekend. Charleston has dick for skate spots, so my small crew is trying to plan a roadtrip upstate somewheres…
holla if you wanna try to meet in the middle or something
