The first complete version of www.rollingphotography.com a site for rollerbladers and photographers to share skating pictures is now up and running.
Expect more updates soon but the bulk of the site is complete and I’m happy to let people start using and abusing the site but please let me know if you find any bugs or anything that’s not working right by message on the boards here

The site features an integrated Gallery where you can upload your photographs. Upon registering you are given your own gallery in which you can upload your photographs (up to 4 at once with no limit in total) and add key words to the images for better search results.

You can comment and rate pictures in the gallery and through the rest of the site you can find news feeds (the last 10 articles) from popular rollerblading sites like RollerNews , Rolling Revival , One skate magazine and more following soon in the News Feeds Section.

When you register you are can create a profile which is viewable by other members containing information about yourself links to your websites and your myspace page if you have one.

I made the site as a Photographer who loves rollerblading because I felt the internet was lacking in this area, yes theres flickr and the groups on the which is a fantastic site but that’s a huge site with a lot of other content and not that many rollerbladers on top of that there are file restrictions for free accounts and no-one wants to pay for s**t like that. Then there is the alternative hosting your pictures on good old photobucket or image shack and posting links in forums all well and good but finding them or checking out your favourite skaters pic or favourite photographers shots isnt as easy as we would like. changed the layout a little now you can choose page width and text size and I made the gallery sidebar open automatically when you are on the small and medium width settings!!!
