Directed, shot and edited by Joel Buenavista, here is a documentary done for a class assignment.

The subject is Ranier Piramide, an ‘old’ gifted skater that you may already saw in some Dvds (Fruitbooter, Technical Difficulties).

    hey whats up guys,

first and foremost thanks for all the positive responses! i didnt know it was posted on this site, but to whoever did it thank you as well! The Reason why we did this project is because joel (boogerneck) needed to do a documentary project for his class and ask me to do it. Whenever a friend needs help(especially one that use to roll or still does) i always come thru. BTW, thanks again boogerneck for choosing me! One more thing before i go, there was a message i was hoping would make it to the cutting board but didnt was the message of why i love it. I started skating because it was fun to do and it was a way for my friends and i to hang out and is still the reason i do it to this day. Everyone i skated with and met along the way have been my friends and very good ones at that. Skating to me was a sense of bliss. When i skate i forget about all the problems in my life. There has never been a time where i didnt have a smile on my face while skating. Except when i fall, but there will always be a smile after because one of my friends would make me laugh. Wow, i didnt mean to make this long. So, to rap it up i just want to say you should skate because its fun and dont worry about being sponsored because being sponsored isnt all that much cracked up to be. Skating should be fun and with no pressure. Thats a big reason why i kinda dropped out the game for a while. BUT BUT BUT… Fiction Clothing was never liked that … shout out to Chris G. having a skater owned and runned company since day one. I know i said i was quitting skating in the doc. , what i meant was i wasnt skating as much as i would like to. I’m still taking my skates with me to Phillippines! To everyone that reads this keep skating, keep this sport alive, i want to be able to come back from my “vacation” and see skating still rolling strong!

    just another skater like you,

    ranier piramide

P.s. check out connor o’briens new video coming out in january …. “Teach Them Well”

i just finished skating with this guy about an hr ago. Hes still got the skills. If anyone lives in Hawthorne you need to hit up the skatepark on Inglewood and 120th. WE have skatenights every thursday, and usually Ranier is there. starts around 5pm when the sun goes down to like 9pm/10pm. currently hes skating stockwell xsjados, well today he was.

Great little edit focusing on Ranier, at 25 myself, I know how it feels to be having to get serious in life. I have friends in the phillipines its so lovely and hot out there. Good to hear you’re taking your skates with you, I need a skate vacation… go some other country and enjoy sun and skating. :)

I guess everyone has their own way…

    keep it up everybody :)
