Filming begins for ONE : video
Well, consider this official notice — the first ONE video is underway.
Spearheaded by the ONE crew in conjunction with Connor O’Brien and Doug Urquhart, and filmed entirely on industry standard Panasonic HVX200s with all sorts of bells and whistles, be prepared for a video that maintains ONE’s level of production quality.
Coming in time for Holiday 2008, more details will be released along the way, and believe us, we’ve got some surprises in store for everyone. Now watch this and enjoy.

From what I saw in the trailer this video will be fire.
It’s pretty exciting to see them shoot this video completely with HVX200s. Way to get on the more professional side, eh? :)

True… but it sure doesn’t hurt. :)
Something shot with an HVX really does look that much better compared to a GL2 or VX camera.
Plus to me its exciting to see them using more “professional” modern cameras. The HVX is so sick.

Im pretty sure the “bells and whistles” are the accessories necessary for the hvx, but besides that I saw photos of doug and connor together using the hvx along with recrock’s Micro 35mm Adapter.
And the HD fisheye looks awesome, all the accesories for this camera cost as much if not more than the camera itsself, I just bought an HD bundle from redrock with the m2 adapter and a 50mm Carl Zeiss lens.

I know the fisheye made for the HVX is well over 2 grand. I wonder if it’s any better than say the fisheye made by century optics for the GL2 or VX?
