Eisler has been on a roll

by Adam Hunter :
Forgive Richie Eisler if he’s a little overwhelmed after a whirlwind and highly successful year.
In the past year, Regina’s in-line skating sensation has been signed to the Universal Skate Design (USD) skate international team, was nominated for international skater-of-the-year, and — as the icing on the cake — was given a chance to create his own signature skate wheels.
Eisler, 24, designed his own signature pro model skate wheels for Undercover Wheels. They feature a Life Savers-style colour design, which is an homage to one of his skating heroes, Randy Spizer, whose own wheels were a Crayola crayon theme. Eisler’s wheels come in lime, grape, orange and cherry colours and have his name and the maple leaf etched on them.
The wheels have been released worldwide and, after only a month on the shelves, are Undercover’s best sellers. Getting his own wheels “is like a dream,” said Eisler.
Eisler’s goal is to grow in-line skating and he thinks having his name on the wheels of skaters everywhere is his way of giving back.
