the drop off the highway to huge ass 540 as seen in BFG, is undeniably one of the greatest rollerblading clips/tricks/moments ever.

Awesome skater. Good footage. BUT this teaser is HORRIBLY edited. I pray the final version is not done in the same fashion.

Judging by the 2 trailers, this video is gonna have clips and a history like few… but the editing /format is going to suck
May 19th, 2008 at 2:10 am
Yeh its a must have for me, but like Mariachi82 says I hope it is respectfully edited, and not thrown together to with historic editing software.

DL. the man, the myth, the legend. That’s a good title but this is super sick. I remeber first seeing him on tv doing what the announcers could only describe as a acid drop off the platform of a 10ft. quarter 180 mute off. it was so sick.

Any one who says they havent heard much of DL obviously hasnt been skating that long. And for yall complaining about the editing you have to understand that alot of that footage is filmed on older cameras & dubbed down from VHS videos, most of it isnt even digital, so no matter how great and editing system you have its still gonna look old school. Yeah sure the titles could be more “pro” but the editing for the trailer was very well done (with the photos from mags added to the clips) but the whole video wont be like that, its just good for the trailer. All in all you should buy it for the illness and history not the footage quality. And I hope DL is getting some decent royalties on this cause he sure deserves it with how much hes changed skating. Shima gets soooooo much credit for advancing skating but REALLY its latimer whos done the most, along with Julio . Julios inventions(unity, training wheels, boardwalks, perfecting topside grinds) were earlier and more important, but Latimer changed more over a longer period of time.

Dustin Latimer is a very inspirational skater. Many try to emulate him, but no one even compares. Even though he isnt like today skaters, who mostly worry about the technicality, variations, switches, and originality, they don’t compare to DL’s style of skating. He made skating look beautiful and made people appreciate it. DL stands out from the rest because everything he ever did, made skaters want to go out and try it. Wearing the beanie with shorts and trying to spin 540 like him. His finesse and laid back approach is something that not every skater has. He truly deserves his own video. Reminiscing all his achievements on one video for us to cherish.
