El Julio : Ok, what’s your full name, sponsors, where do you live and for how long have you been skating?

Dominic Sagona : My full name is Dominic Andrew Sagona and I ride for USD skates, Murder 1, Urethane, Vicious Bearings, England Clothings, Kizer Hardgoods, Sifika, john nicely, and sdsf skateshop.

Dominic Sagona : I’ve been skating for about 14 years now.

El Julio : Why did you start rollerblading?

Dominic Sagona : I dunno, seemed like a good idea at the time.

El Julio : Do you remember your first day skating?

Dominic Sagona : Yes. I was on quad skates.

El Julio : How does a normal Dom Sagona day look like?

Dominic Sagona : A real day or a sugar coated day?

El Julio: real

Dominic Sagona : hahahaha

El Julio: haha

Dominic Sagona : Well I roll out of couch around 1pm. Check emails for an hour or so, clean up around the house a bit. Burn. Shower, eat. Burn again. Take kemal (my dog) out to the bathroom. Then ill either work on tunes, or run some errands for a lot of the day. Today im going to go to guitar center, get some new headphones. Then ill come home, maybe go skating at night or something. Pick up a 12 afterwards, finish that while working on tunes and watching horror flicks.

Dominic Sagona : Pass out round 5, 6 am.

Dominic Sagona : then do it again

El Julio: Who do you skate with?

Dominic Sagona : Honestly…my buddy john.

Dominic Sagona : That’s about it.

Dominic Sagona : Sometimes Rachard or Chris.

Dominic Sagona : But most the time our schedules arent in sync.

El Julio : Yea that blows.

Dominic Sagona : Ill skate chino park dolo sometimes.

El Julio : What is the best/worst experience you have had with rollerblading?

Dominic Sagona : Best experience is traveling.

Dominic Sagona : Learning the world…cultures.

El Julio : Do you earn enough money with rollerblading for living?

Dominic Sagona : nope

Dominic Sagona : im homeless

Dominic Sagona : I sleep on a couch.

Dominic Sagona : I need another job.

El Julio : Are you proud to be Cams favorite skater and who is your fav skater?

Dominic Sagona : Ya man, cam is wicked. favorites are tough

Dominic Sagona : I definitely spend way to much time on that. Right now im not happy with it, but when is anyone really happy with anything they do.

Dominic Sagona : Im getting some new hardware soon, so thats going to really help a lot. My system isnt powerful enough right now.

Dominic Sagona : Too many to names. Lots of people influence me. Skaters from Brian Shima to musicians like spor and rob zombie, to movies, to art.

Daniel: what is more important, trick or style?

Dominic Sagona : If it doesnt look good

Dominic Sagona : then whats the point

Dominic Sagona : rollerblading is in a rut right now.

Dominic Sagona : How can you be proud to show an outside audience rollerblading when it looks like shit?

Dominic Sagona : Thats why im very picky about whos skating I like and what I think good skating is.

El Julio : yea

Dominic Sagona : Usually good skaters have a nice balance of both…tricks and style.

El Julio : So you think it would be better to put more effort in trying to be stylish than making huge spin to grinds etc. ?

Dominic Sagona : I think you’re applying effort in the wrong places

Dominic Sagona : you should just do what you want

Dominic Sagona : and have fun.

Dominic Sagona : You’ll grow the fastest that way…in both areas.

Dominic Sagona : Id be satan for a day.

Well, i sleep on a couch with an overweight pug and 4 cats, and i wake up around 1pm. first thing i do is roll out of couch, and smoke some dope. then me and john play some burnout 3, smoke some more dope, and talk about how good we are at skating. Then, we talk about when and where we’re gonna skate, smoke some more dope, get something to eat, and by then its 7 oclock and all we’ve done is talk about how good we are and smoked dope. then, i go to ampm (where they know me by name), pick up my daily 18 pack of tall cans, and sit on my computer smoking dope, drinking beer, writing really bad drum and bass, and myspacing, until about 8am.
