I think sumone needs to helicopter her ass right back to wherever she came from … I really do hope that next time they decide to do a segment on rolling that they acutally have a pro introduce the segment as well so there is no “confusion” by the people who make the Q cards for this sorry ass network and the broad who intro’d this segment. As for the skateboardin if the segment is about rolling skateboardin should not be anywhere involved just because they have wheels on them too …people who know nothing about the rollin should not be hosting in that particular situation. It is good exposure anyway for dipskate and rollin in general but anyone would have wanted it taken seriously and done correctly.

ok for real i have no hate for any sport that is somewhat close to what rollin is. but that is a good point she shouldnt of called it skateboarding cuz it is far from skateboarding. but its is a good start. and people dont worrie for real this is a good way to start just because dip skate is the only thing in our industry gettin coverage dont mean shit ok. soon enough mel and calvin and j-bah and them other dipskate heads are going to be showing there sponseres off its going to take some time befor the industry is back out to the masses. just give it some time. rolling is deff coming back and not do sound like a dick but skateboarding is startin to fall out again. i got respect for that sport but its about time they stop babying that sport and start lookin at what else is out there also. but like i said within the next year or 2 our industry will be much much stronger. more companys will be known and out to the masses. its just gonna take some time. and yeah mel sounded alot better in this interview. and you people have to think though none of us pro rollers and what not really know what to be like in a interview like that they are all just gettin into that vibe. thats all i really got to say let us all know this though rolling is comein back rather you callin it inline aggressive rollerbladin skatin or freestyle rollin the sport is deff comeing back

i really dont know about this dipskate thing. getting coverage for the sport is great, but at the moment dipskate is the only thing getting that, and i dont want the sport to become associated with hiphop to anyone who doesnt skate. i dont really listen to hiphop and im not from the ghetto, im not a gangsta im the opposite, and i dont ‘freestyle roll’ im a rollerblader.
next problem is the fact that even with this increased coverage, people still dont know what we actually do. trying to distinguish between rollerblading and skateboarding isnt helped wen skateboarding is pictured and spoken about in that interview, it only confuses people and they still think its the same thing. jeez guys think about it. next time, just spell it out and tell them wat the tricks are called rather than leaving them to humilate us with gay names for amazing tricks.

i could have swore the rollerblade industry was trying to NOT make the same mistakes as they did before.
the coverage is cool so if that is what dipskate is sort of going for, then ok.
but if its money they are hoping is gonna start flowing into the industry, i highly doubt BET is the way to go. Pharrell has had a skate team for quite a while now and people who listen to his music still don’t know anything about that (or could careless) and that’s SKATEBOARDING.
i guess we’ll see what happens. whatever makes rollerblading look good is fine with me. (this is coming from an african american who listens to lots of hip-hop mind you)

ok, so who gives a shit if they call the tricks wizzle wozzle, they are undoubtly hard out tricks(wether the style of trick is for you, or not), and tell you the truth, when i first saw rollin, i couldn’t have given a fuck if it was labelled Airborne’N or Might Duck”n off ice…
Seeing how fucking rad it is, is all that it tkes to get someone, who chances are has never seen it, or at least done so ill, into, participating, and shit maybe even financially helping(by buying a thing or two rather than burning the dvds and wearing nothing but hip hop/thrift rock clothes, not buying your fav pro skaters product and wondering why “they have fallen off” a.k.a why can’t i burn another dvd with a section of theirs in it) Into what we all love, and most take for granted… who knows even someone like yourself?

I support freestyle rolling and the movement but good lord not on BET!!!! Get exposure anywhere, not just on that feckin channel. Avid BET viewers are not a good source of freestyle rollers. As far as the trick names go, BET haven’t got a clue, and I don’t think Dipset have a much better one either and heaven forbid they actually go and ask the rollerbladers they interviewed for some tricks and thier names. That would be far too complicated.
Having said that, has anyone ever felt that “fishbrain” is a bit of a shit name for a trick? I know I have.
As for the rest of it, I still say fair play to them. At least Dipskate are doing something to get the sport noticed.

Not trying to piss anyone off. But I think Dipset is basically trying to make money with Rolling, they really could care less about this sport, they just see it as a medium to bundle in more cash…
The sad thing is, this is the same thing that happened back in the dark days. I wish someone in the industry would see this and try and stop it or lessen the exposure (yeah I know that sounds bad, But I really don’t think the world is ready for this)
I don’t know, mabye its bullshit, But I can tell you right now, this isn’t rolling. Its a joke.

How is it that the reporter is speaking on skateboarding AND skate teams (which most people only chose to hear “skateboarding”) and she’s being called a “bitch”. She didn’t write the script, smart guys.
As for the tricks, the producers DID fuck up the names. Okay, so let’s say someone who saw The 5ive segment might be interested in finding out more on skating – They go to “google.com” and they run into “rollernews.com” and guess what? They get to see these outrageously hateful comments you all make against DipSkate, Hip Hop, Black people, and anything else that you sit boldly behind your keyboards to type. That must reeeeeally makes them want to build with YOU all to learn more about the sport.
Fact is, DipSkate is doing quite well, has fans of all races and ages, and is making a very good impression on a large group of young people who now want to get involved in skating. I just hope all the new kids stay away from these horrible blogs, because it’s going to give them a very very bad image of rollerblading.

Additionally, you morons keep on and keep on about DipSkate and Jim Jones wanting to “make money” off of skating. So far they’ve INVESTED money to promote the sport, and you should all be thanking them for that.
