so now rollerblading is back and you want to show off your tat fuck you! i respect the “young bucks” you talk about cause they continued to film when shit was bleak. I’ve talked to people who bring up you have a family and need to eat but damn you can pick up a camera in your off time. im sure this isn’t the first time you have heard “hey can you pick up the camera again” fuck you an FOX and all those shitty monitors you are using…..
April 30th, 2011 at 5:52 am
damn dirteelegz you must be an OG
April 30th, 2011 at 6:05 am
wtf was that shit?
April 30th, 2011 at 6:08 am
$10? yeah i grew up on vg but all the old vids, even the mindgames, have been released on rollernews anyway..
i love vg but not for $10 each.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:12 am
Shutup. Without DP skating might not even be around right now. Show some respect for the original OG videomastermaker. When is VG24 coming out?
April 30th, 2011 at 6:19 am
@pom: really few vg are available online (except for the recent ones, released on dvd),
the first ones (more than a decade ago) are real hard to find, keeping a vhs in good state for so long is almost impossible unless you keep it locked in a conditioned locker and don’t play it.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:25 am
History in the making! lol!! Old news! He allready made em! In the making lol!
Low on Cash Dave?
10 bucks hahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha
There is a torrent on piratebay with all your films!!!
April 30th, 2011 at 6:32 am

April 30th, 2011 at 6:57 am
VG and DAP is the reason i rollerblade
NO ONE makes videos like this dude… NO ONE.
April 30th, 2011 at 7:21 am
dap?
Your comment was a bit too short. Please go back and try again.
April 30th, 2011 at 8:01 am
YEAH!!!! THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!! Id pay a lot more
April 30th, 2011 at 9:14 am
thanks for the great times and this is awesome
hey kids that’s the problem with you, you always want to have the best skaters filmed for nothing…that’s simply not right, the people that make videos should get paid well! look at “Charging”…top skaters on tour for weeks, they have costs and they should get paid for letting us follow them on dvd…and then somone put it online and the money is gone…
April 30th, 2011 at 10:25 am
yeah there is costs to videos, but the VG series has already been sold.
i mean, you can download game theory for 10 dollars and its now and new and hasnt been sold before.
the VG series has already had it’s market show. i’m not saying they should be free, but i think that to price them at 10 dollars alongside game theory etc is a bit much.
maybe $20 the lot and everyone would buy em!..well i certainly would..
I’m not dissing DAP at all,mad props to DAP, I loved the VGs.. ..vg3 forever!hahaha!
April 30th, 2011 at 10:55 am
I’m going to get VG 5, definitely one of my favorite VG’s. I’ve not seen it in years and would love to see the Champion and Erik Burke sections again. I always remember EB’s toes roll at the end, no one was doing them back then!
April 30th, 2011 at 11:50 am
AHHAHAHAH
Its Now and New, Go fuck your self Kid. This is you history, this makes skating skating. Give me a VG over some LAME ARSE DSLR edit/video any day as these guys with there Xm1s and shit new what they where doing.
Dave Paine is the man and has helped many skaters into the media world. I’m on this as soon as its at 20 as the otheres I have on DVD and all my VHS are worn out.
April 30th, 2011 at 11:53 am
Il smoke a dub before i buy 2 video online.
April 30th, 2011 at 2:12 pm
cmon guys, you cant expect all that hard work put into the videos for free. Just like any of you would not give out your art work for free if you make any.
April 30th, 2011 at 3:16 pm
VG 4 Was the film got me into skating! first time i saw a vertramp!
Back in the days i started with Out poppy.! good old days!! a least 13 years ago.
Still skate!
April 30th, 2011 at 4:24 pm
hell yeah dave. kids: you need to know your history. every single VG is worth $20 each still to this day.. this stuff is legendary. get off your asses and pay respect to your favorite filmmaker’s favorite filmmaker.
April 30th, 2011 at 4:56 pm
Surprised he didn’t cover his tat with Fuel TV…
April 30th, 2011 at 5:54 pm
thats awesome, your videos were the shit man! You haters complaining dont do shit for skating besides bringing it down. All these internet haters break the spirit of blading but at least theres still a few good hearts in it!
April 30th, 2011 at 6:14 pm
why not release a dvd/blu ray box set…..with bonuses, lost footage etc etc. I WOULD pa money for that
April 30th, 2011 at 6:22 pm
^ Blu-rays are HD. How could he release blu-rays when all the VGs were recorded in SD? And while all that other stuff you mentioned sounds cool, it’s too much work for DAP to put in considering not enough ppl would buy it to make it worth it.
My only complaint is I feel the videos should be $4.99 like all the other old videos on the site. I’d like to buy them all so I could rip em to DVD and $10 a pop would get EXPENSIVE.
April 30th, 2011 at 6:54 pm
toys beneath our feet will be mine!!!
loved all the old vgs,and dave pain is the original og video master,he inspired many of us to skate ,and also to become cinematographers/video editors ,
im guessin its just kids complaining, cause if people new the importance of his vids in the early days ,i dont think theyd complain,
April 30th, 2011 at 8:34 pm
VG r00tz. 4lyfe.
April 30th, 2011 at 8:48 pm
I am juiced as fuck about this. I dont know about you guys. VG is my childhood. I love everything they did.
April 30th, 2011 at 9:08 pm
I grew up with the Vg series, starting with Ocho. 13 years ago? Wow. And Ya know, I want to support Dave Paine, but it’s exactly for the reason of a 10 dollar download I won’t. I can get the vhs copy as a 5 dollar deal on rollerwarehouse. Not that I would, but if I wanted it that bad right? Even someone else here said the old videos on freestyle culture are $5. We all know that when we go to our shop of choice, older videos devalue and drop down to almost nothing. My friend has scored the worst of broskow, Know rollerblading, Park, and other Dvds for $5 a pop when he orders stuff. And these are far more recent than any VG, and you get a dvd at a much higher quality than any encoded video you’d get off Freestyle culture.
I’m not advocating for free. Dave put a ton of work in and so did the rollerbladers who filmed for it all those years ago. But be reasonable about pricing. Hell look at buying an episode of something on itunes and tell me 10 dollars a video makes sense. And I know we have our sentimentalism about these videos and what they mean to us. They may feel like 20 dollar videos in our hearts, but materially, they’re not worth that at all. I always hoped for a VG dvd box set. This is the closest I’ll get apparently at 230 dollars. That’s steep for an online version of something that came out years ago. It had better be remastered for that price! haha. joking.
Either way, I’m glad he’s putting them out, but I think he’s pricing them at new market value which isn’t right of him, but it is his series so he’s free to do whatever he wants. But it’s a deterrent for the newer generation of bladers who’ve never seen this series to check out the history of the sport they love so much.
April 30th, 2011 at 9:26 pm
*************Sorry, gotta get on the soapbox for a second************
Seriously, if anyone is so cheap and lame that you would torrent videos of one of the biggest supporters of our industry then fuck you!
For real, I find that grossly offensive.
It’s worth money because he worked his ass off to put those videos together. Get educated and listen to his interview with Rollingrevival a couple years back and he explains how many long hours and how much hard work he put in to make the most legendary rollerblading video series to date.
Yeah he moved on to other things, like FUCKING FUEL TV!!!!!! Who the fuck wouldn’t take that job?!! Besides at that point he had already done more for the scene than most other people, not to mention that he has a strong position within that company and he has been pushing to get rollerblading on Fuel TV for a long time now, but they have a strict expansion plan that only includes a certain number of aggressive sports. For now.
Why the fuck is it that we (rollerbladers) get so offended when editors, filmers, whoever ask for money for their work. They are the ones producing the shit you wanna see and then you demand it for free or steal it and wonder why there isn’t better media out there. Fucking retarded. Shameful.
Sorry, I have been talking about this topic recently with others and it gets me heated. We need to support the people creating the public image of our sport in order to gain more outside appeal.
It’s good to see most of the comments on here are supportive. Dave Paine is a legend. Respect.

VG films were amazing – VG9, VG11, 12, – CLASSICS! the music, skating and vibe of these films were brilliant pieces of art and entertainment. Great idea DP and Esco crew!
May 1st, 2011 at 12:03 am
I am fucking ready for some battle my crew.
May 1st, 2011 at 1:16 am
you want a battle? you must be crazy
May 1st, 2011 at 1:28 am
Man there is a lot of haters on here I remember watching VG 20 Roots and the original IMYTA’s growing up and I think they are definitely worth 10 bucks a piece. You can’t do shit with 10 bucks these days anyways so why not buy a piece of history, shit you don’t have to buy them all just buy the ones you like :)
May 1st, 2011 at 2:11 am
too much money. It should be $10 for first, and $5 for second and more.
May 1st, 2011 at 12:24 pm
one released each week starting from the last one, this means i’ll have to wait a little while for the better vg’s. as they went on they seemed to get worse in my opinion, i felt the newer bladers coming out didnt have a patch on the people featured in the vg’s from the start to number 14. this may be because i’m old school, i’d prefer to say i have taste and a eye for style. the older vg’s were a must watch where as the latter ones were not really top of the list to go out and purchase. instantly getting vg5!!!!!!! erik burke and champion baumstimler profiles were great.
May 1st, 2011 at 6:58 pm
Best thing ever. Screw all you cheap little bastards. Dave, you have $230 of my cash coming over the next few months.
May 1st, 2011 at 7:32 pm
hey how much of the 10 dollars is going to the skaters that skated in these videos ? ?
thats right ….
