   Yea not a fan, wheels are sick inc the graphics. The clothes lines quite a drastic step away from what I was expecting and looks pre-adolescent image wise…maybe thats the target market, young kids? Who knows. Can’t see Mr. Lilly wearing any of this.

   Not bad, definitely a style not explored by any other brand i’d say.

   i really like how the conference handles their clothing.

   that girl is pretty cute too.

   i saw it at the winterclash and the qulity seemed to be all good. is it really a conference brand cause the team and everything is so different. i mean mike lilly is not skating for other conference brands. also cudot and gabriel hyden are not skating for them. any idea anyone?

   i think the brand started out independant, and then conference took over, keeping the skaters on the team.

   but im not positive about that.

    It has nothing to do with other Conference brands. The Conference a.k.a. Powerslide takes care of distribution. Everything else is done by the same person when Chimera was distributed by Reg5 (its used to be the german distributor for Razors, GC etc.) - Me!
    Team management, making the collection and designs, marketing, production and everything else is NOT done by anyone of the Conference. They are busy taking care of UC and other brands. So The Chimera Conspiracy is some kind of independent label within the Conference.
    Before working with them Chimera had no chance to be available worldwide. I am happy to be able to focus on so many other duties than selling to the shops and finding distributors. Within month a label that was able to release a few wheels within years Chimera is now able to come up with new stuff every 3-4 month.
    Look at the team (as mentioned by some others). It is not important if someone skates for any Conference brand.
    Take a look at the AM team:

    Gabriel Hyden (Valo, Ignition, Vicious)
    Mateusz Kowalski (Hedonskate, Ucon, Valo)
    Joe Atkinson (Deshi)
    Julien Cudot (Remz, Grindhouse)
    Jefferson Santana (Deshi, Stygma, Kizer)
    Tyron Ballantine (Razors)

    2 out of 6 skate for the Conference. I love those guys, they skate hard and they love Chimera. That’s it!

    Now Carlos Pianowski joined. So what? Of course he skates for so many Conference brands but I know him for so many years and already asked him in 2003. When UC became more colorful he thought about joining Chimera.
    Mike Lilly is NOT skating for any other Conference brand. He skates for Vicious and skated for Roces when I asked him to join. He still would but Roces is gone…

    Chimera is a skater owned company. If you like it or not, it has nothing to do with the Conference.

    A thousand thank you’s to everyone supporting Chimera. It definitely needs the communities support and I know that still there is a long way to go to see Chimera the way I want it to be.

    chimera is cool, love how they used an actual chimera in one of those designs. otherwise i’m not really feeling those, black and blue don’t really go together i think. designs are definitely far behind most other established companies. that girl’s got marilyn manson’s biography, a good read! :)

    You can write a 10 page article on the company but at the end of the day the designs are still terrible, just get someone who knows how to design good graphics and hey presto chimera may do well for itself, and i hope that happens
