So there has been a LOT of hype over the new Deshi Carbon skates. So much in fact that I had to try some out for myself.
While doing so myself and Harry Reavley decided to film my first afternoon on the skates to give you an idea of how they roll. I could have happily rambled on in nerdy fashion about small details but instead we decided to make it more fun to watch and let the action do most of the talking.
Big shout out to Harry for coming up with a top level edit and getting it done in a day even if it took me a week to get it on the net! [...]
Being a hard-core GC fan as I am, and its soft material I have never skated Kizer Fluids for a longer time.
Super hard frames work so so at skateparks and copings yet with street skating, especially on ledges they were always slower and felt awkward.
What’s more, after release of FTL frame I thought I would not try Fluids again. However my opinion was changed by the first news about innovative Slimline collection, which can be treated as Kizer`s answer for FTL idea. [...]
We sent some bearings to our friend Fred Castro in Brazil to try out and he came up with this awesome review for the bearings. Not only did Fred come up with a cool review he also incorporated his graphic skills into make rad 3d graphics for the edit.
A 3 min review, by skater/Designer – Fred Castro, From Brazil, skating the bearings and commenting about that performance.
I received these skates just 3 days after they were promised to be sent by the Conference. First impressions were of shock as I wasn’t expecting anything too special from this low priced skate.
The printed designs on the skate looked sick, the liner looked fresh and the soulplates looked huge. I had never seen this frame from Kizer either which looked very impressive, especially as a stock frame!
