Jet Set Radio is coming to Xbox Live Arcade, PlayStation Network, and PC Digital download this summer.
There’s also a new trailer to celebrate this fact, which you can see below.
It’s apparently some kind of amalgamation of the tracklisting from the various versions of the game that were released around the world when it first appeared on the Dreamcast.
Man, the year 2000 seems like a long time ago…

Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute collective Arcane Kids shared on reddit a rather slick trailer of Jet Set Radio “esque” Zineth, showing a character skating with a robot and rewinding his mistakes. The large, colorful world; the fast, furious traversing; and the grinding particle effects (at 0:30, for instance) really caught my eye.
I was even more impressed upon finding out seven students worked on this for just a half-semester in class: Jacob Knipfing, Russell Honor, Thomas Astle, Sylvia Forrest, Thomas Lanciani, Evan Gonzalez, and Dan Spaulding. Russell Honor spoke briefly with me about Zineth’s concepts, those seen and unseen in the trailer.
Honor says that the player can perform aerobatic feats such as skating at high speeds, jumping far distances, wall riding on any surface, increasing gravity for quicker descents, and grinding on rails. Zineth takes place in a world absorbed by a cellphone game, and players must remind other inhabitants by distributing a zine of what they have forgotten outside of their cellphones. The team is still tweaking Zineth, but they hope to make it available for free soon.

Xsjado XL: Making-of
Larger Pictures in this Photo Set.
- Photo 1: This is a hand sculpted replica of the actual skate. It’s a clay model that is made on a 8″ x 8″ tile.
I make it large so that I can get as much detail as possible into the bigger clay model before shrinking it down into the small jewelry size. Then, I’ll laser scan this clay model, and that will input it into my computer.
- Photo 2: This is the scanned 3d image of the clay model on my computer. With this image I can shrink it down to the smaller size which will be used for the jewelry. Then I can clone the skate, and arrange them how I like.
Once the skates are arranged and ready to go, I will cut the final design on our CNC machine into wax.
- Photo 3: This wax piece is then used to cast a silver master piece and I can use that to create a mold to produce all the final pieces. The final pieces are then cast in pewter and plated/painted.
Some years ago, the organization of the USA X-Games, banned the inline category, which was one of the main since the begining of the event.
On the other side, the organization of the Asian X-Games keeps doing it and it has a great success, being one of the favourites among the public.
Inline in Europe it’s on its best moment and we believe there has to be an Inline category on the recently announced Barcelona Edition.
Help us telling the X-Games organizers you also want an inline category on the BCN X-Games.
Help us to let Europe enjoy the best inline on the best extreme sports event of the world. Join the cause. Say YES to the Inline at the BCN X-Games.

Quoting a mail from Richie Velasquez:
Hey guys, Sean Wickes was an incredibly talented young skater. Life has presented him with a couple of hard blows and he is now on the streets living life day by day.
Please take your time to listen to the podcast. He seems to retain his positiveness throughout the entire interview.
Quoting Joshua Petty:
Well I am happy to let everyone know that I am planning a new clothing company but this one is a little different.
It differs from others because I am going to be donating nearly all the profits, the rest being used for future production to charity’s for children who have been victims of abuse.
I was trying to think of a way to use this little fame I have to help people and glorify the lord and this is what we came up with.
The company is going to be called Sinners Prayer and it will be a skate and motorcycle lifestyle brand if that makes any sense.
I am having Jeremy Beightol, an amazing artist, do all the art and basically I am gonna make one or two shirts at a time and sell them direct over Facebook via PayPal and The shirts will be priced like you would pay at a shop. That way all the money will go to the kids instead of paying a bunch of MiddleMen.
For stores I may make a shirt just for them but I would like this to be as non profit as possible. I am also gonna make a few high end things like jackets and what not but those will be made to order.
I am also planning to build a bike everynow and then and sell it or auction it also for charity. This is all gonna be run completely by me and my wife so it’s gonna be small time but who knows where god will take it.
I hope you guys will give me your support so we will all have some cool clothing as well as help some needy kids.
If anyone has any ideas or wants to make any donations or preorders let me know.
Let’s do some good guys. Thanks. – Joshua Petty.
