nah i didn’t mean to rub it in to anyone. it’s just that the strength of the Malaysian Ringgit is weak compared to the US Dollars / EU Euro. So anything which comes into the country gets an additional burden onto it’s price.

bottom line, all we want to do is help our own industry and be sustainable on it’s own. if the industry is weak, we should al help build it and not like big corporations like Nike decide if we are cool enough. well that is another discussion all together.

they sound like great wheels and a great concept. especially positive for your country. ive always thought there should be some “no-frills” super-cheap wheel but you’re very correct and i fully support the decision to not undercut an already weak industry. i hadnt thought about that aspect. but dont rub it in for us haha. I don’t know anything about the Malaysian currency, but it’s easy to see (RM100-RM30) that these wheels cost 30% of a traditional set of wheels, less than a third of the price. That would be about $8 for a four pack. Ah what a tease.

price undercutting is very unhealthy for the market though it’s good for the consumer but it hurts the company.

So sorry guys but you can only buy Blanks wheel in Malaysia only because these wheels are made for our local market. The value of a Malaysian Ringgit compared to US Dollar or EU Euro makes wheels really unaffordable to kids here therefore Blanks is the solution. It’s also an effort to keep kids skating. Putting these wheels into the industry will only mean undercutting the whole market and be very business unethical.

We’ve been riding on these wheels for 3 months now and there isn’t seem to be any sign of decore in the Malaysian heat and humidity unless you happen to cut your wheels on the ramp or as such, no other wheels can survive that neither. The 88A gives it a good grip in the park and gentle ride enough on bricked ground. I used to ride on bent GC frame bolts (no money and resources to change) and this generated alot of heat on my bolts, wheels and bearings due to the friction in the wheel spin. The bolts would be extremely hot but the core of the wheels didn’t give way at all nor did it enlarge which will usually generate a gap between the core and bearing.
