To clear up the Billy situation.
I was checking around and people seem pissed about how we put this clip online.
Basically if you think about it, we wouldnt publish it if it was serious, if you were here with us it would all make more sense.
We have it all on film, all the ensuing action too. Billy is OK.
He has 2 twisted ankles, so he cant walk, but he is fine. We were all laughing about it, he wanted to put that clip online, we spent all evening with the police and the hospital, everyone looked after him, we are a great supportive crew here at my house and to be honest we were all sitting around watching it and talking about how lucky he was.
He is in great humour and we werent using it as an advertisement, or promoting a DVD, we just wanted to share what happened with everyone, because it was a miracle escape.
Im really sorry people are offended by it, i understand it though as we ourselves still see it and cringe, and at that moment we all wanted to die…
Billy is sitting here by my side watching “Jay and Silent Bob strike back†and is laughing away.

I totally agree that this should not have been posted, as it is far from beeing funny or cool. Dominik did it and I think he did not mean it bad.
It happened yesterday around 5pm. Billy went to hospital got X-ray, luckly nothing is broken but his angles are fucked and he will be out for about 8 weeks. He got a cast on one leg and the other one a plastic one, on friday he should be able to walk again with crutches. So Billy is alright and nothing really serious, I talked to him yesterday around 9pm after the hospital and he was already feeling better…but again I agree the post is not good and not done to promote anything. I think Dom will set it straight too. sorry!

Good to know he’s ok. That was scary though for real. I replayed it like ten times because I couldn’t believe it. Oli’s debrief calmed me down. Still this was quite a scare. If Billy wants it online he has his reasons so I would not ‘buse about it if it’s his wishes.

Billy is my favourite skater and I just talked to him at the winterclash. I was really like damn man this guy is even chill to talk to and all. He seemed really nice from what i saw there.
Really by seeing this vid I thought his legs were torn from his body or something. It sounded horrifying.
Glad to hear he is okay. On the conference site they show a picture of him making funny faces in the ambulance.
Hope he will regain strength back in his angles and stuff. This shit could really prevent you from rolling as good as before, both mentally as physically.

Common people, chill. accidents ARE part of the sport. I saw the video before reading the “clearing up” post, and I instantly knew tis wasn’t serious (who would be so screwed as to put up online OR on the front page such a scary clip if it would?). I had a friend hit pretty much like that while skating, 10 feet away from me, he also injured his ankles and had a bruised knees… 5 weeks later he was skating.
Maybe is that after watching slams sections for 15 yrs I am desensitized?

I agree with everyone as far as this being a bad choice for an add. There seems to be an ongoing battle between rollerbladers and cars.
A better choice for this would be (as cheesy as it sounds) a PSA style clip warning in inline community about how you can get fucked up by cars and its not a joke. People forget that no matter how good of a blader you are, a car is something you have no control over.
Just throwing it up as an ad (to me) shows the lack of thought into what this powerful clip could have been used for.

I am really pleased that Billy was lucky and his skates took the brunt of the damage and not his body.
Everyone makes mistakes and this just highlights how people can get slack in the excitement of the moment. There looked to be 2 roads in that clip, Billy should have tried stopping before the first road and should have had a wall of people lined up to aid him to do so, I know that this is one of these ‘you should of, you could of’ type messages but seriously when do you run across a road without looking? never so whats the difference been on rollerblades? nothing!
