It will not fit to many skates… poor concept

this is a symetrical soulplate (sorry for the mistake, i corrected the title)
i think that this is a good idea, cause you can use your soulplate for more time and save some money!

//It will not fit to many skates… poor concept
if the concept works, maybe you’ll find some that will fit on all the other skates

the concept looks like it should work, it’ll probably be good for a lot of people but i know i’d hate the looks of it, i hate ill fitting soulplates with a fiery passion.

but I think 5cm soul area is too much. Royales will look very stiff

since your frames arent in the direct center of your skate (more towards the negative), this soul frame would result in either a whole lot of extra negative that would look terrible, or the frame would need to be moved more towards the center, which would probably totally change your center of balance on skates

well not really, look at the xsjados, they are pretty much the same pos as neg space on the souls and they are just fine

its a gid idea. if it wos able to fit on quite alot of skates it wood be more apealling

i think most of the comments are right, plus i tried kinda that concept on a pair of salos, placeing widebodies on both negatives and souls, they look sick, but i didnt liked the feeling, negatives really dont need that much space. A Universal Soul System is already being developed by USD if i remember right, but the idea is that a soul system would fit several brands of skates, not just one. Things are supposed to happen, but everygood idea needs time.
This concept is cool, but i dont think it would work cuz:
when you soul or topsoul as much as i do, the fastslide area would be worn in a different way as i needed for a royale, letting me without the possibility to rotate it from the negative side to de soul side.
Maybe a solution would be on a concept where the soul is symetrical, and the negative is symetrical, notice that there is a soul and a negative, this way you can rotate em between left and right. Dont know if im clear (maybe not) but a general idea is set.
the separate backslide concept really works, for those who royale as much as they can, think a little about it, ONE Piece is not the solution for saveing money.

Ive been making universal symetrical souls out of UHMW since summer.

Those are similar to the usd dual plates, but without the short front and negative, so they should work fine! 5cm is the same size as xsjado souls for example, and it will core a bit after a few cess slides of course!

its a good idea jsut gotta work on making it more adaptibale
November 24th, 2005 at 3:34 pm
I think that they should work, but u need to test them on all kinds of skates first
November 24th, 2005 at 3:43 pm
good ideo but it s same what a wide body oin negative and positive plate 5cm = wide body
November 24th, 2005 at 4:01 pm
yea, i like
November 24th, 2005 at 4:06 pm
dahm dude stupidest idea ever, serieous why the fuck do you need a soul plate that is bigger than the rail youre grinding on…?
not to mansion the fucking negative space…
but you know if you like it…
November 24th, 2005 at 4:21 pm
I’ve thought about this concept some time ago, about 2 years already. And this pic was ther first stop – you CAN make negatives small, but the soulplate will still be symetrical. Now you should think HOW ;)
November 24th, 2005 at 5:34 pm
its a good universal concept jus have to work on it
November 24th, 2005 at 6:00 pm
Definitely GOOD IDEA! work on it… compatibility, u know…
November 24th, 2005 at 6:18 pm
Well G-love theres some fat rails out there u know? and where u are doing topsides on ledges is better ans easyer with some big souls, cess slides also!
November 24th, 2005 at 6:27 pm
They look like they would be so clean on deshis!
November 24th, 2005 at 8:20 pm
it works on xsado, it may work with deshis, old and new rbs, rzrs etc. but i think in dk white it would brake in the midle because of the skates tortion. and as rollmx sad, i do too many top souls, it would be a shit for me to skate after switching sides!
November 25th, 2005 at 5:35 am
I think it would be better if skate companies actually made a fitted soul frame that can just be adjusted to fit the other, so that the soul plates on both skates are exactly the same so that they can be fitted over when worn down, the skates wont look dissimilar to anytihng currently published, razors had a similar concept with the new style wings as they do fit both skates, same as night, if companies like xsjado, trs, usd etc made a universal plate for each skate model it would be so much better
November 25th, 2005 at 10:17 am
well Nuno it’s just what you like, i have no problem locking on fat rails or curbs with normal souls, and i like to have feeling in my skates, with those (same with widebodys for instance) youre royals look gay and you have this thing on youre skates that just buggs you, with this concept you have a widebody on both sides…
people do topside tricks on the bercy ledge with majestics it’s all possible…
and i think that it does’t matter how big youre soul plate if you jump a soul grind you don’t look at the edge of youre plate but agains youre frame automaticly, smaller souls keep you better on the curb cause you can bend them around, if the plate is too big you stay flat on the curb wich makes you fall off easier and makes you slide less fast…
November 25th, 2005 at 2:10 pm
G-love the 5cm is the same as xsjado for example, that will core with a few cess’s on it, if you like it that way!
The soulplate will be more durable, and super light ;)
November 25th, 2005 at 5:51 pm
hmmm…if they are the same…why buy other ones…
November 25th, 2005 at 7:16 pm
Is the same in size! and the backslide groove is deeper that the widebodys.

like the idea, if theyre cheap it would be a quick cheap replacement
