arlo is the reason why rollerbladers are well dressed.
he gave the whole scene a style, where a lot of other brands just produce crap. i think if arlo wouldn be i´d just wear skateboard-clothes and carhartt stuff. ok ucon is well too but the rest you can kick
This guy was THE reason I started rollerblading. Arlo was an absolute rockstar back in the Hoax 1 and 2 days. He made rollerblading look like the coolest thing ever. Its still a pleasure watching him roll at the Hoedown every year. I hope nothing but the best for Arlo and when the time comes and rollerblading blows up and gets big, people will associate Arlo and rollerblading just like Tony Hawk and skateboarding.
Shane Coburn is the true artist in the rollerblading. BlaBlaBla, you are not the only one who thinks that. Arlo is Arlo in terms of being here since the beginning, and people will buy into whatever he says based on that.
blablabla , i think if you look from another angle you may find somting.. but people have their tastes in graphics and design…. arty types will like it others wont…
nothing but respect for sure… id rather dress the way we do now than what we did in 99 lol hehe.. the slim jeans etc.. isnt a roller only unique thing.. it came from fashion and trends.. so the general public i believe take a better acceptence of how we look.. compared to if we all dressed Hip Hop with over sized cloths which is fine in some cases for those who choose to, and not to forget.. in the end its what you do not how you look…
When rollerblading comes back to the mainstream in 2010, the LAST thing we need is for Arlo to be at the forefront, AGAIN. He already had his chance and the guy sold out! Yep him and his boys sold Senate at its peak and let corporate assholes take away, at that time, the greatest company rolling had ever seen.
Arlo is NOT like Tony Hawk. He’s more like Tony Alva because Arlo is one of the founders of and originators of the style of skating we do. Hawk was the best at what he did for a good 15 years and also invented over 50 tricks before he was ever jocked by the mainstream X-Games loving world. Arlo just was lucky enough to be at the right place at the right time. Honestly we havent even seen our “Tony Hawk”. Damn i hate comparing us to boarders but that was a point someone else brought up and i felt i need to correct their comparison.
When we come back onto the main scene we need someone who hasnt sold out already, and someone people can actually RESPECT for their amazing skating abilities, not their artistic and bullshitting abilities. And most importantly we need someone who is going to take presenting rolling to world seriously, and not use it as a platform to spew their personal ideas, agenda, and just trying to be witty. Which is all Arlo has ever done when he has a camera in his face.
I fully understand how much Arlo has done for skating but he just doesnt have the passion and dedication to represent skating these days. Will always be a legend but he himself probably doesnt want to be in the forefront again but we all know people will basically force Arlo to be in front of the camera one way or another. Poor guy.
I could care less if Arlo cashed out at the last minute. senate downfall was a story book ending in a non literal Eisenberg style. made way for new brands to shine. I still respect his vision. His commentating is memorable. agreed we need that new face. There’s a place for Arlos art and its in my shirt closet. Go$+

Arlo is pure genius, he’s original, creative, and inspirational. He gives many rollerbladers a reason to be proud to rollerblade.
