Anthony Avella & Stephane Alfano: “X-Games” demo in Cayenne (French Guiana)
Cayenne is the capital of French Guiana, an overseas region and department of France located in South America.

When I started skating at the age of 13, I discovered the famous X-games on television. Since then my childhood dream like many riders at that time was able to reach the competition.
2002: me and Stephane Alfano achieved our goal and went to Philadelphia to attend our first X-Games.
2003: we re-iterated this adventure and discover the famous Staples Center. Stephane finished second in the street competition with a a full european pdoium (1. Bruno loewe, 2. Stephane Alfano, 3. Sven Boekorst) and I took the 6th place at the vert comp.
Our childhood dream came true. Now 8 years have passed and we are in French Guiana ; after seeing the X-Games Miniramp demo, we had the idea of doing the same for the locals at the Favela called “la Matine”.

2. ASA does the Dew tour. they tried to move away from Inline when things went down hill even though they still do small things with us and want us to come back up, business wise it’s the best thing for them to work with others for now.

awesome! fun to watch, would liked to have seen more of this type of skating (flips, airs, spins) in the x-mini demo, I think only aragon went off, maybe montre at the end, but hey what can you do, whats done is done, lets see what happens…

These guys killed it and showed way more enthusiasm than anyone who was skating the X Games mini. The founders of ASA, Mark & Paul Shays, ARE NOT BLADERS. They were a part of the Rollerblade dance team after rolling for a year or 2 then they stopped when they started making money off of blading through event. I played baseball for 2 years 10 years ago, that doesn’t make me a baseball player. Also the ASA DOES NOT run the Dew tour. Red Dyed Deshis is a moron, as usual.

@ Just to clarify: Mark Shays is a blader. I did business with him in 2005 for the school program cost us some change to have a 1 page ad. Furthermore at the time he was already talking about Mountain dew and his company partnering up. with regards to them continuing to do business. well that’s up to them. Dipshit. Shays was an announcer for X-games back in the day and yes he was aggressive skating. not at a medium-high level.Nevertheless he skates. jack ass. At least know who in the fuck you’re talking about.

aside from Just a troll’s comments. I would love it if Mark would put us back into his line-up. He has a huge deal with Fox and it’s excellent publicity and even better marketing cause it’s cheaper than X-games to place banners.
There was suppose to be a Inline division for Dew but I don’t know what came of that. I remember they had a pic of Frankie doing a spin.

In 2003 (the last year of racing on skates), we reiterate this adventure discover the famous Staples Center.Stéphane finish second X-games in street with only one podium European (Bruno lowe 1st, 2nd Stephane Alfano, Sven Boekorst 3rd) and to me when I took the 6th place in Half Pipe.
Our childhood dream had come true we participate in the X-Games with a bonus place in the final.
Now 8 years have passed us, by chance we are in French Guiana for an internship that I had scheduled with the local comity of in line skating.
It is in discovering the video demonstration of mini ramp at x-games that we had the idea of __the small Favela called “la Matine” a demonstration of the X-games for the benefit of younger people in the Favela.
Because we find that the situation was really huge to find themselves at the same time here in South America, and to demonstrate together with our American friends on the most destroy mini ramp I’ve ever seen in my life.
For this we provide aditional support the return of the in line skating in X-Games even though we were not physically, bringing down the dream all these children and we have uncovered the x-games almost as increased to Los Angeles this July 31, 2011.
At a time when everybody says that a demonstration of mini ramp at X Games makes no sense, thanks to God here in the Matine Favela X-games make sense.
