An essay on rollerblading

Billy mailled me this essay on rollerblading:
This article (Dissertation.pdf) features interviews with Dave Paine, Mike Rios, Gijs Peetsold, Pierre-Francois Loiseau and Dave Mcnamara.
Since it is long here is the conclusion only (the best part): Conclusion.pdf
The article is about the status of rollerblading today and there is a diagram of the history of rollerblading: Rollerblading Saga.pdf

A lot of writing, a lot of errors, a lot of talk about gangs, the CCCS, culture/sub-culture, etc… in the end they mentioned rollerblading on one sentence and then went into gangs, and behavioral patterns of said gangs. What does that big essay have to do with rollerblading? Also Spell check is your friend. :)

I really can’t stand essays that need to persistently agree with authorities to assert any validity, you end up saying nothing at all.

man thats alot of info, too much, close to the end in the colclusion it had some good intersting points, consice and informative is most effective, long detailed essays just put you to sleep after a while hehe

That was a very interesting read. Nice analysis and excellent conclusion. Anyone who disagrees probably hasn’t read the entire thing.
Yes, there were some spelling misstakes.
Yes…I would have really liked to read some of the interview and addenda.
But YES. It was a great paper and an excellent unbiased view at the subculture that is Rollerblading.
9/10 for the man who wrote it. (From a biased blader’s viewpoint that is)

wow that was way too long!
But then if any of you guys actually read the whole thing and were clever enough to understand, you’d see the gangs and metaphors are used to compare and represent rolling as a subculture - the writer is drawing parallels and using ‘authorities’ to prove those points.
respect to whoever wrote this though
