Broskow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
March 4th, 2012 at 9:46 am
why broskow win?
March 4th, 2012 at 10:10 am
Yep, broskow didnt deserve to win, i am the biggest broskow fan, but to me he didnt do much except for the trick he was trying to land at the end of this video.
March 4th, 2012 at 10:13 am
Brett skated real hard fake 540 soul was ridiculous but so was the fake 540 sweat both awesome.
March 4th, 2012 at 10:13 am
Brett skated real hard fake 540 soul was ridiculous but so was the fake 540 sweat both insain
March 4th, 2012 at 10:14 am
style > no style
thats why broskow won, he deserved it.
Id pick a steezy mizou from broskow than anything brett urbas did in this comp.
March 4th, 2012 at 10:43 am
Brett should have won, hands down! He shat all over broskow and his shitty fakie 540 sweatstance that didn’t even need to be locked for him to roll away, it was like a tap.
Brett killed it.
March 4th, 2012 at 10:45 am
I’d rather see a steezy soul on a curb.
March 4th, 2012 at 10:48 am
Whoa, this edit clearly shows that Broskow didn`t deserve to win. At first I was like – Urbas had many fails, maybe that`s why… but then.. Broskow also failed many many times.
Honestly, the few tricks Broskow did were top notch I guess, but Urbas threw hammer after hammer. :/
March 4th, 2012 at 11:17 am
did anyone count broskows fails?
like 15 on one trick?
March 4th, 2012 at 11:18 am
holy shit.. the level of skating is incredible these days!
March 4th, 2012 at 11:56 am
AB wins cuz of style? sorry but only the soyale was longer than 1 feet length..
As usual when the judges have some kind o friendhsip into it… that is not the most that deserve the win who wins! Bummmer. That should b because of Urbas has not laced switch tricks… haha make me laugh
March 4th, 2012 at 12:01 pm
urbas is the definition of frantic, spin to win skating. his skating has no originality. i believe jon bolino did a fakie 5 soul outspin on that same obstacle and did not win bcsd. broskow is doing stuff no one has done with the best style. if you think urbas won you are just a fan of inferior skating.
March 4th, 2012 at 1:11 pm
^^ no if you watch broskows clips he skated that rail up flat and down, much longer than 1ft length. plus, disasters onto a free standing rail are harder than just balancing a grind a bit further.
urbas did some good tricks undoubtedly, but fakie 5 soul on a box is not as hard as disaster fakie 5 sweat on a rail (and in other edits you can see he grabbed in the spin too). plus he did loads of hard disaster tricks on that rail, fucking scary shit! and it all looked stlyled to fuck unlike some of urbas’ tricks.
March 4th, 2012 at 1:28 pm
Who were the judges?
March 4th, 2012 at 1:31 pm
I get that the “non-creative” way of brett’s skating may shock some people, but in this case, broskow had no lines, barely used the course, and did pretty much 1 trick that btw Farmer did on a rail in real street about what 5 years ago in Bang!
Brett gave everything, looked like he was actually pushing himself really hard and taking risks where broskow wasn’t. All his sections are amazing, but seriously he didnt not deserve the win…in 4 edits…we saw those 2 tricks…and constant mini rail skating…what else did he do? nothing…
March 4th, 2012 at 2:01 pm
i’d rather watch broskow miss all day than see another trick from brett. no offense but some of you still don’t get it. your perceived difficulty does not equal “better”. it’s the whole thing. broskow’s misses looked cooler than brett’s hucked out slap around hand down “claim it”s. and the tricks he landed were each cooler than brett’s whole day put together. even if they weren’t perfect. skating is more than insert spin + foot position. if you don’t look good skating, you don’t look good doing the hardest tricks at the top of the list. if you can’t skate backwards well and you can’t do a solid switch topsoul… stop trying to learn 720 kindgrinds and clean up your shit. from the foundation up. the cracks show and they make even the most brilliant trick look like a pile of garbage.
March 4th, 2012 at 2:10 pm
Hahaha what a shiter on that Brett kid. Maybe he would
Of won if he didn’t celebrate his tricks before he landed them. Broskow
Is a massive chest. Complete douche bag
March 4th, 2012 at 2:54 pm
Broskow make skating worthy these days. Just like all the VX guys. Brett is just another lame ass park skater….
Broskow has control, style , just everything. Fuck, just check his WRS edit it’s just insane how he makes skating look good.
It’s time for blading to separate the men from the boys.
And Brett is a toddler…
Street skating FTW!
March 4th, 2012 at 3:10 pm
I can’t blame Broskow for doing what he does, that’s just how he skates now. BUT those judges need to stop playing favourites and get some specific criteria for a contest winning run!
Style is way too subjective to be the dominant factor in a park competition, it’s ridiculous… Big technical tricks get the crowd hype, they take lots of ability and create a competitive atmosphere that will not only interest bladers but inspire any outsiders who see it.
Rollerblading needs some professional, static criteria for contests just like other sports and things like professional gaming.
Incase you misunderstand me, I’m not trying to say style doesn’t matter, but it should not be the biggest deciding factor, leave style for edits and personal opinion.
March 4th, 2012 at 3:25 pm
brett should win, nuff said haters, 15 years experience skating.
March 4th, 2012 at 3:52 pm
hahah my 15 years experience is stating brett not winning is realistic. he put his hand down on every trick. no one “deserves” to win just because they try hard. broskow i don’t know if he should or shouldn’t have won. but honestly i don’t see how you weirdos are saying brett should of. and i agree. was pretty lame stuff. and stuff we see every year from aragon, haffey and who ever else. i don’t like 540 to tricks. no matter who is doing them.
March 4th, 2012 at 3:53 pm
by the way B maybe franco should of won because he tried really really hard!
quit being a boob
March 4th, 2012 at 3:56 pm
is he in the edit?? NO.
March 4th, 2012 at 3:58 pm
jon jon did fakie 5 acid on that shit.
and did DA URBAS really just do a soul to makio? hahah.
DOPE fakie 10 YO, loved da grab. you pencil. your dad didn’t teach you da grab?
yeah franco should have placed higher, he is the fucking man. i hope he wins next year
March 4th, 2012 at 4:12 pm
im glad everyone is starting to see what ive been saying for years.
March 4th, 2012 at 4:18 pm
Thank god for this edit. Now we all know that Brett shouldnt have even gotten 2nd, much less 3rd or 4th. If thats your park you need to skate it more creatively. Dude is frantic as all hell and just duplicated a lot of souls and kind grinds. 15years of skating should give you more control and style and trick vocab. Broskow shouldnt have won either. Garlinghouse should have won it ALL!
March 4th, 2012 at 4:22 pm
prediction: everyone will be hucking themselves at this same p-rail next year, doing 540 tricks 10 times in a row trying to land the big winner.
spin to win, a new craze started by broscow. you are no longer cool. goodbye.
March 4th, 2012 at 4:35 pm
Thanks for this footy. Love the level of rolling nowadays. Urbas did good and will mature into fine wine. Brosky is already there, as well as Bailes. Didnt get my Stockhouse fix this year:( Maybe next year.
March 4th, 2012 at 5:08 pm
ROLLERBLADING IS REGRESSING! YAY! LEARN TRICKS NOT PUSSY ASS SHIT ON TINY RAILS…. WHATS THE CONSEQUENCE IF BROSKOW FALLS ON A PUSSY FAKIE 5 TO RAIL TAP???? EXACTLY THERE IS NO DANGER IN OUR SPORT ANYMORE AND IF YOU GO BIG ITS SO SKETCHY ITS AWFUL LOOKING ANYWAYS. BROSKOW IS A CLOWN AND SO IS ROLLERBLADING NOW AS FAR AS IM CONCERNED… FAKIE 5 RAIL TAP FOR THE WIN, OMG SHOOT ME
March 4th, 2012 at 5:40 pm
Brett Urbas is clearly the sickest crossover diving-board enthusiast in blading. Cannonballs, can-openers, belly-flops, this dudes got it all!
March 4th, 2012 at 6:15 pm
brett urbas has the coolest dad around
March 4th, 2012 at 6:28 pm
brett urbas is a boner, his family is all boners.
bittercold next year will not be at that park, so it will be fun again.
March 4th, 2012 at 7:33 pm
Style ab won thats all rollernews gay haters
March 4th, 2012 at 7:37 pm
I’m glad broskow won, his style and concistency is unmatchable.
March 4th, 2012 at 7:52 pm
Brett skating was sick but not as clean as Broskow, Dustin latimer should have won.
March 4th, 2012 at 8:32 pm
i give respect to brett urbas but majority of his tricks he laid his hands down, and if the judges were like me, if you used your hands unintentionally then you didn’t land it
March 4th, 2012 at 8:44 pm
Put up your real name or get the fuck off this site. All of you idiots bitching about what you could never do! @ da troof suhn, shut the fuck up idiot, who the fuck are you? were you there? Brosky has more control on his blades then pretty much anybody and embodies modern rolling right now. Maybe a handful of rollers could pull off 5 mute dark mizou on than rail and make it look good. And yes, disaster soul tricks of any kind are harder on any rail than a fucking box where you miss and slide the fuck down like its a playground.
March 4th, 2012 at 8:46 pm
This is proof. Broskow skated just 1 small rail for the whole comp. In the finals, he landed 2 “tap” tricks on it, failing one of them 50 times. If you’re not happy with the fact that Urbas should have won, just pick someone else, haffey, etc. Anyone but Broskow indeed. I dont even know how Broskow placed top 10.
The real question here is HOW MUCH DID YOU PAY THE JUDGES JON JULIO ?
March 4th, 2012 at 8:48 pm
who the fuck is brett uhas and why the shit is he even in the same edit as a legend ripper like Alex????!!! delete.
March 4th, 2012 at 9:45 pm
Urbas put his hand down for most of those tricks thats just as bad as rolling a topside in my books. no pun intended
March 4th, 2012 at 9:52 pm
urbas put his hand down on most of his tricks cheezing them, thats the same thing as rolling a topside in my opinion… no pun intended!
March 4th, 2012 at 10:27 pm
I bet that, the element that alex broskow skated on was meant for skateboarders …
March 4th, 2012 at 10:39 pm
WHY IS A FALLS EDIT ON ROLLERNEWS. YOU GUYS NEED TO GET YOUR CONTENT ACT TOGETHER INSTEAD OF POSTING STRAIGHT GARBAGE
March 4th, 2012 at 10:40 pm
ALEX WON AND NO ONE YOUR BITCHING WILL CHANGE THAT HAHAHAHAHAHA

Brett kicked that little faggots ass. Anyone who skaets a p-rail in a major comp should embarrassed to call himself a pro rollerblader. This edit clearly shows BrosCow lost.
March 4th, 2012 at 11:35 pm
bahaha…great edit! Valo looks like a bunch of skateboarders after watching this. What skates does Urbas wear? Gonna pick me up a pair of those.
March 4th, 2012 at 11:41 pm
Broskow just chucked himself on a skateboard rail. how could that possibly win? Valo p-rail chucker!
March 4th, 2012 at 11:43 pm
if brosKow shouldn’t skate the “p-rail” in the contest why was it part of the course? and why was everyone else in the contest skating this “p-rail” also?
get over it. no one in the contest should have won. Modern Skatepark ruined BCSD.
March 4th, 2012 at 11:44 pm
Urbas could do any trick Broskow did on that little rail…but…Broskow is AFRAID to skate the obstacles Urabs did. So Brett FTW
March 4th, 2012 at 11:51 pm
The thing is Urbas made all those hard tricks on a high box with a huge disaster while Broskow made them on a tinny rail with pretty much no disaster at all, seriously that shit was not dangerous. I am a Broskow fun myself, but it’s funny how everyone is talking shit about spin to win tricks and skaters like Aragorn, Cudot etc, even not excited by 540 soyales by Montre, Urbas fakie 540 soul, Aragorn’s hurricanes etc but they are crazy about a spin to win trick by Broskow on a small rail. I bet cudot could to that same 540 aetopsoul on the big box and sure he wouldn’t win, same thing happened to Urbas this time. FUCK rollerblading politics and all this non sense, it’s a competition.
March 4th, 2012 at 11:53 pm
lol Valo needs to do some damage control after that. Julio probably has everyone on his staff posting in here trying to justify his top pro tapping a little rail for the entire comp.
Rollerblading started with guys in spandex doing disco dances, and has progressed to a guy in spandex tapping a p-rail. No wonder the French win all comps.
If Broskow is the best we got, I’m embarrassed to say I’m a rollerblader. Congrats to Brett on really winning this comp.
March 5th, 2012 at 12:03 am
I just tried to find some of Bretts skating online and…its all park skating.
BTW-Montre desreves the win more than anyone.
Everyone whos says “Im embarrassed to be a blader” clearly isnt and shouldt be.
Fuck this dumb shit site.

March 5th, 2012 at 2:48 am
^landing in the lava isn’t good style. where are your standards? neither is hucking yourself at the same obstacle 12 times in a row, some times missing the rail completely, and finally on lucky 13 connecting, but just barely. isn’t that the very definition of hucking? Brett was way more controlled on his 1080s, landing them first try, than BrosCow on some of those fakie 540 attempts.
damn ameri-huckers
March 5th, 2012 at 3:46 am
first off, this has been an interesting current event on this site watching people go back and forth on this.
1) this kid’s home park correct, clear advantage
2) I think that small rail is way more dangerous to hit that box off of the quarter or the triangle shaped up down box thingy.
just saying. I think Montre/Aragon or Haffey should have won really.
March 5th, 2012 at 3:57 am
brosKow is spelled with a K. and we all know that AB has way sicker fakie 5s and style then urbas
March 5th, 2012 at 4:00 am
THE INTERNET RUINED ROLLERBLADING
March 5th, 2012 at 4:04 am
FUCK THE WHOLE URBAS FAMILY
March 5th, 2012 at 4:05 am
Based on this comp, Brooski is an official Valo chucker. The Fan Boys talk out of both sides of their mouth. They criticize Urbas for spin-to-win (on huge obstacles) but then congratulate BrosCow for spiniing to win and tapping a tiny skatboard rail. Sorry FanBoys, no way to justify this one….your gay idol got his ass kicked by an amateur who did more, bigger, better tricks. Urbas won BCSD. The footage don’t lie.
March 5th, 2012 at 4:09 am
bahahahahaha….Broskow skated a tiny rail at Winterclash and got his ass kicked out in the first round.
American rollerbladers are figure skaters, not aggressive skaters. they have no balls. We have 10 year olds in France who skate tiny rails like Broskow. Grow some balls.
Urbas, move to France, you will be a star. You are too good for Gay American Figure Skaters.
March 5th, 2012 at 4:12 am
Thought Brett won because he did bigger, harder tricks. This is a skate comp not a fashion show : )
Unless Alex did something that no one else has ever done or did something reallly hard then i don’t get it. How is 1 trick > 10
March 5th, 2012 at 4:15 am
^^hell yeah bro france rules.
March 5th, 2012 at 4:19 am
i love romain godenier.. or how ever the fuck you spell it. hes got great style and doesnt look like a fucking faggot at all. also people from france smell good. im glad you guys invented french fries. you guys have always helped other countries in need. super man front flips.
March 5th, 2012 at 4:26 am
Valo skaters keep talking about style and control, but how much style and control would Broskow have if he attempted big tricks like Urbas?
Of course, it’s only a hypothetical question, because we all know Browskow CAN’T do big tricks like Urbas. He skates tiny rails like a skateboarder. Anyone can have style and control on a small rail.
But aggressive skating is about doing big tricks, not wearing tight pants and vests and tapping little rails, which is pretty fucking gay.
No wonder rollerblading is dying in the United States. What young kid would want to be like Browskow? 12- year olds riding scooters, skateboards and BMX all go bigger than Browskow.
March 5th, 2012 at 4:27 am
So I was kind of underwhelmed by the earlier Broskow edits I saw, but having seen this one I’m convinced he actually won the contest.
Urbas fell down in my eyes because he decided to play the same game as Broskow, mainly one trick one obstacle skating. If Urbas had run lines around the park doing what he did, I would easily proclaim him the winner, but he didn’t. I don’t think the obstacles Urbas skated were really all that difficult either. Bigger maybe, but certainly easier than a freestanding rail in many ways.
Honestly, the real shame is that people like Jeff Stockwell and Dominic Wagner get no respect from judges, when in fact they actually use a skatepark and create lines instead of just trying the same tech thing over and over again on one feature.
March 5th, 2012 at 5:20 am
you said unless broskow did something no one has ever done???? for one i think every trick in this comp has been done before. and brett didnt do anything new. literally everyone did nothing cool or fun. i love broskow as a street skater. that is where he and the rest of the valo dudes cant be touched. leave park to stockwell.. and leave bcsd alone. competitions in rollerblading make no sense to me. for skateboarding its like a fund raiser. for blading its just pathetic and lame. and on a side note its so funny how ppl still “qualify pro” in rollerblading competitions. IT MEANS NOTHING!!!
March 5th, 2012 at 5:27 am
Why is USD selling rec skates & frames???????
March 5th, 2012 at 5:39 am
Question is……can you do any those tricks? With precision? Let me see fellers. Then you can cry via internet all you want. Home park vs. STRAIGHT KILLA. Results vary.
March 5th, 2012 at 5:43 am
you guys better practice the basic tricks..
just backslide 100 times in one day….
then do it at bittercold and win
March 5th, 2012 at 5:53 am
If it took BROSKOW (who can do anything on skates) that many tries at a single trick then it obviously was a hard as fuck trick
How can anyone talk shit on that
March 5th, 2012 at 6:10 am
ups… judges just FAIL at this comp.. thats it! It has nothing to do with broskow or urbas or any other skater… they were just skating!
March 5th, 2012 at 6:35 am
if anyone deserved to be considered for first place other than broskow, it was baily, cant believe that hasn’t been noted. other than that brett urbas’ rollerblading is uninspired and would blow away in a strong gust of wind, forgettable rollerblader is forgotten.
March 5th, 2012 at 6:45 am
looks like the judges blew it. no way broskow should have gotten first for such crap skating. the comp was between bailey and urbas. urbas did more and should have gotten first.
rollerblading is pretty much dead in the U.S. because there are no legit comps like in Europe, japan. Americans have become more concerned about the skirts they wear to rollerblade than pushing their skating to the limits.
March 5th, 2012 at 11:46 am
broskows first backroyale true fish instantly cancels out all of urbas’ previous tricks. No way urbas could make that trick look that good. Urbas doing the usual 360 soul, 360 royale, and then getting “creative” adding another 180 onto the 360 disaster… no fucking way he should have won. His style is frantic, uncontrolled and messy. And that P rail is not a tiny little thing. I bet half of you couldnt even frontside it.
March 5th, 2012 at 1:21 pm
@lol
You’re a real moron…Broskow was better than Urbas in any KFC vids and even now (Charging, you know?). People here are sticked to park skating it’s annoying.
I bet if you take Urbas to the streets he would cry to his dad. Park skaters are the real faggots…doing ballerina spins and «big» tricks. Do a fucking backslide on a handrail outside. That’s a big trick. No pain, no gain bitches. Get real or FUCK YOU!
March 5th, 2012 at 2:59 pm
Rollerblading is a fucking popularity contest. I have been blading for over 15 years, been a part of the Detroit blade scene forever and have gone to almost EVERY Bittercold. I can absolutely tell you this was playing favorites. They didn’t want a fiasco last year like that had with Julien. You guys remember that? No one filmed him either because no one liked him and 2 days later, everyone is asking why he won. He fucking killed it, just like Brett did(and Bailey) As much as I like Dan Kinney, his strict and absolute rules of judging completely contradicted the results of the contest. Lay off of Brett. He is a young kid that is juiced on blading with a ton of talent.
March 5th, 2012 at 10:18 pm
Urbas did a whole bunch of 360 souls, with some minor changes alterations (royale KG, etc.). All things that have been done for years it was a yawn fest watching the same trick over and over again. 360 souls are so 2004.
March 5th, 2012 at 10:47 pm
urbas is a faggot for jumping around like he won the olympics. all of those pros he was competeng against have done so much more in their carrers than he ever will. u dont see them jumping for joy when they land a trick
March 5th, 2012 at 11:26 pm
I love seeing all the comments about how AB won cus of his style. its really funny that the “sport” that should be about challenging yourself is about how good looking you can make…..
March 5th, 2012 at 11:28 pm
bunch of fucking tight pant wearing Fake roller blading hipster pussys! Go learn a new trick other then a fucking soul grind. No style really should not matter , I mean yeah its great when a trick turns out looking good, but its even better when you see a person try a trick that is hard to do. I would rather watch old AB videos then the new. And fakie 540 onto that bitch of a hand is lame, He was not even trying. I sure most people could land that trick , and he did not even grind it out that much ….. fuck Style and fuck you fakes that think style is all that matters, you say style is all that matters Cus your fucking Trick Vocab sucks and all you got is three tricks so you just do those all the time trying to make them look good and pretend you got style when really you been doing a soul grind for 10 years. LEARN NEW TRICKS
March 5th, 2012 at 11:34 pm

“style > no style
thats why broskow won, he deserved it.
Id pick a steezy mizou from broskow than anything brett urbas did in this comp.”
A steezt Fucking Mizou is better then a 540 Kg ? WTF is wrong with kids these days I mean…… can no one see the clear fact that Ubra skated WAYYY harder then Alex, Sure he was a bit sloppy and all but he has not been doing it for too long I dont think ……. and … Alex has been known for being one of the best for how many years now ? Hmmm weird how a simple fakie 5 into a tap not a grind a tap, took him like over 10 trys, When Urba landed 1080′s first try, and all his grinds lasted longer then AB on much harder obstacles. dont even try to say that the handrail was crazyer then the Box, I skate to iam not retarded Handrails are fucking easy. Somthing needs to fucking change in this sport.
March 6th, 2012 at 1:25 am
Skating seems like a popularity contest for those who go out and train every day to beat their favorite pro but a pro is just another skater trying to push the game and not make it look retarded for those watching. Quality not quantity baby!
March 6th, 2012 at 2:53 am
? What bearing does Brett use? Is it Abec ones? maybe he should upgrade! I know Browskow uses abec 23s that why he is so fast! what skate gives me the best flex for ufo grinds?
March 6th, 2012 at 3:11 am
I have been skating for over 15 years and never been apart of the scene and this is why.
I heart Broskow. He’s a legend and paid his dues to revolutionize the sport of rollerfagging.
Urbas sucks because he doesn’t wear cool boxers like Broskow.
Spin it to win it sucks. Large obstacles suck. Small obstacles suck. Park sucks. Street is so cool. Let’s compare the skaters at a park comp to their street skating abilities. That makes sense.
Baggy pants are gay now. Your sister’s pants are cool now. Long hair is cool. Everything just cycles between generations.
We all lose this one.

what needs to change is your attitudes. skating is an art, not a sport. pros aren’t the ones that can do the hardest tricks, they’re the ones that sell the most skates. nobody is trying to jock brett urbas. everyone jocks broskow. accept it and move on. or go skate. just shut the fuck up with your naive opinions. cheers.
and it’s one thing to disagree with the results, another completely to hate on ab. hate on ab and you reveal your lack of knowledge and understanding of rollerblading. go play a team sport where you can keep score.

I hope Broskow did some others tricks than what we saw in these few edits. Because all I’ve seen of him is missed tricks, sketchy landings, poor style spins, weak-ass disaster on a weak-ass rail with sketchy landing after been out of balance the 3ft he grinded. Lame from him. Shame to the judges.
I don’t blame Broskow, he skates the way he wants, I have nothing against it. But the judges are supposed to reward the skater that skated the best during the comp, you shouldn’t get “I’m a skating legend” points.whatever, great skating Brett, congrats, and keep doing what you like.

If Urbas is really better and could have done those tricks, then why didn’t he?
