wow those etnies are reduced from £49 to £35 thats a bargain
May 16th, 2008 at 12:29 pm
I hate it when the soul plates are bigger than frames, it makes the
skates look uglier
May 16th, 2008 at 12:31 pm
souplates are ugly as hell, but other than that they look quite good
rebranded anarchy skates tho
May 16th, 2008 at 12:49 pm
they look super wack imo. they prob are light as anything, but low quality and uncomfortable too i’m sure. what is the deal wth alchemy anyway?
May 16th, 2008 at 1:04 pm
fuck supporting a skateboard company!!!
May 16th, 2008 at 1:16 pm

May 16th, 2008 at 3:00 pm
yeh bit like trs, nimh, anarchy, deshi etc… nothing new and pretty ugly but its a first skate and new companies are welcome.
May 16th, 2008 at 3:17 pm
oh my those are pretty aweful. is it really that difficult to design a skate?
May 16th, 2008 at 3:50 pm
guys, no matter what you do or how much beefs we’ve had on here, DO NOT BUY THESE SKATES. they’re made by a skateboard company and it’s only another way to steal money out of our community. would you buy skates from a bike company that called us gay, fags, not a real sport, etc… well this is that company, forever boycott those skates even if they’re cheap.
May 16th, 2008 at 3:55 pm
look at the way it’s even advertised. right next to etnie shoes. do we put DC’s and razors right next to each other? No. Skateboarders got us kicked out of X-Games and talked shit about us for 20 years, now one of their companies wants to start making skates. It’s probably gonna be the shittiest skates to ever come out. They may make some money off of the skates but most likely they’ll turn more people off of skating and more onto skateboarding cause of the quality of those things.
May 16th, 2008 at 4:26 pm
you sure??? proof?
May 16th, 2008 at 4:43 pm
How is this made by a skateboard company?!? They are produced by Stateside skates which is actually mainly a skate producer, it might sell skateboards as an off brand but they mainly produce skates. People moan but to be honest we need more decent cheap skates as thats what brings people in, oh and yes anarchy is produced by stateside too, but the designers were totally different for alchemy, kids need to grow up….
May 16th, 2008 at 4:53 pm
they look horrible….
May 16th, 2008 at 4:55 pm
They might or might not be ran by a skateboard company, but regardless, for a low price point skate, they don’t look like quality skates.
Schwinn Bikes, they also produce rollerblades. Thats not good for our industry.
May 16th, 2008 at 5:12 pm
Don’t forget that powerslide and roces sell skateboards too
May 16th, 2008 at 6:02 pm
When we tested these tom told them what needed changing but i guess they didnt listen to us
May 16th, 2008 at 6:08 pm
go to their website. That’s your proof. The website is all from the same company tha makes alchemy skateboards. I went on there about a month ago, before they showed the picture and they had a guy sitting cross legged holding a silhouette of the skates but right next to it was the skateboard shit. The gear, the boards everything. Whoever told you that they were a skate brand like blader owned is a fucking liar. if you don’t believe me then just ask a skateboarder about alchemy boards. you know legally you can’t own the same name as another company. That’s why WWF had to change their name to the WWE. moreso just follow up on the information.
May 16th, 2008 at 6:21 pm
powerslide and roces sells skateboards but that’s different cause they were blades first and they’re dipping into that communities pockets to produce more big hits like Valo skates. Powerslide produces most of the skates out now, Matthias is a nice guy but still he’s a businessman but he knows where to give credit when it’s due.
and yes Schwinn does make low priced skates. for $50 at target. However this type of dipping isn’t what builds us and makes us stronger, it weakens us and silly people who don’t see it just are like sheep and follow along instead of going to brands that they know are loyal to the movement of building us up beyond what we were in 1996.
A manufacturer can produce many things and that’s not the problem. The problem is that the company is owned by a pro skateboard committee. This means that their main focus is on sales and distribution of skateboards and sponsorship of skateboard brands and events.
Question UnknownG,
You say that They are mainly a skate company huh. When was the last contest that they helped sponsor, how about the last ad in a magazine, tell me what video were they in, I know Razor, K2, USD, Valo, Mindgame, Chimera, 4×4, M1, Deshi, Kizer, Ground Control, etc… help to sponsor contest and aren’t afraid to show their true colors, This company is a skateboard owned (most likely) and operated company. When your emphasis is soley skateboards until you see a time where as the oppotunity to make over 10 million in sales cause you are cheap presents itself why not take it, especially if you can further help out your own cause secretly. If I owned a company, I would make skateboards and sell them for cheaper than anyone else just so I could fund the blading community a lot more than it’s been getting. However when the shoes are on the other foot, wouldn’t a skateboarder do the same thing?
May 16th, 2008 at 6:31 pm
statesideskates.co.uk/products/Products.aspx?Category=300
That’s my proof. emphasis on skateboarding. they sell long boards, skateboards, trucks bearings, wheels etc…. They just started selling skates. They sell alchemy skates now, but once again, look at the fact that the ad has those skates right next to etnies shoes, a well known skateboard shoe. It’s like slapping us in the face with the blatant disrespect of “we’re gonna take your money cause you’re too fucking stupid not to buy from us cause we’re the cheapest”.
People I know that times are hard and most of us barely have enough money to go skating whenever we want, let alone buy some great pair of skates that do the job that we need while giving us the comfort and control that we want but this is not the way to go. Keep it blader owned or at least pro blader. Who’s on their team when their frames were out. What video did they produce. I know skatepile use to sell them but even they quit. I’m thinking it’s cause they found out what they’re really up to and felt betrayed in the process. I would. They stole a design, maybe even the patent itself, Xsjado frames is something that is exactly just like theirs. They stole the k2 look with USD plates, hell they even stole the murda 3 wings. I know that there’s not many new ideas to come up with in this industry but, that’s only if you scratch the surface. These guys are just trying to make a quick buck and leave. It’s like a nasty bad 1 night stand that gives you some type of STD instead of a good feeling after it’s all said and done.

May 16th, 2008 at 8:02 pm
idiots , you want new skates , but you don’t like nothing new , you don’t like genesys cuz’ they are old , you don’t like xsjado cuz’ … , you don’t like nimh cuz’ shima is a bitch , you don’t like remz os cuz’ wtf ?… ,
fcking kids
May 16th, 2008 at 8:09 pm
New skates are fine, but by a company that isn’t a part of the problem. I’m sure you agree with tek 2. But then if that’s the case if you’re from the UK or US then why don’t you just go buy a car from Osama Bin Laden then cause in a way you’re supporting the terroristic acts of the skateboard community. I still can’t forget Alva calling us gay and fake on national TV, or the tony hawk games, how they have us dressed up as fags. that’s blatant disrespect. This is just going to give them more money to grow their skateboarding side of the company which is the first reason they started that company.
May 16th, 2008 at 8:12 pm
k2 fine. RB okay (Even though they let their riders go, they still support everything rollerblading), those companies and others like them are great but to support a company that first promotes skateboards, longboards, clothes, wheels for skateboards, trucks, etc… That’s retarded thinking. should you go out and buy a pair of schwinn skates just cause their cheap or would you rather buy the Fila Krusty’s, we had a problem with them, but Fila didn’t deserve that type of boycotting, this company does. Shoe companies that try to come in are to me more than welcome. This company makes skateboards. Flat out.
May 16th, 2008 at 8:22 pm
to frontflip 1440:
yearh but what about powerslide? they produce skateboards too and scooters!
so don’t suport them either?
May 16th, 2008 at 8:40 pm
like I said, what came first? was USD a full out skateboard company or was it a full out blader company
how about Deshi, or Kizer.
The company may make skateboards now but they started out with us and continue to support our contest and community. I don’t see why this is so hard for you to grasp. Was there a Alchemy banner at the NL, or the Winterclash? how about at Fise? I don’t think so, cause they’re liars. They said in their home page that they sponsor riders in both skateboarding and rollerblading. WHo are these sponsored riders that ride for either anarchy or alchemy? Why is it that the magazines don’t support them. You as a single-minded individual won’t think about these things but those magazine editors do. I have to, There’s a reason why skatepile stopped selling their products, and it’s not cause the frames were shit. Loyalty is something that we’re good at. to allow a company that we know for a fact started by making skateboard products only would make us look like fools if we supported them. Like I said you can if you want to, but think about it like this. Their price point is 109. euro. how much is a Razor or a Rollerblade skate. what about 150-200.00 euro? with that being in someone’s mind, especially a parents’ mind. Which out of all the brands will they buy. The one which has a loyal following and puts out quality made products or the one that’s cheaper on their wallets. times that by at least a million units sold. Those skates must cost about 35-50 to make cause they’re sellng for 109. Let’s take 30,000 skates sold is 1.5 mill that this skateboarding company is going to make and not give back any of it to the industry or the community. At least with RB, USD, Razor, Deshi, Xsjado and Nimh they actually give back, by sponsoring events, creating DVD’s which they know they’re never going to turn a positive profit on but they produce it anyway, they’ll sponsor riders and fly them around the world, they’ll place ads and give back money for marketing and other things but with Alchemy, they haven’t done that at all. Who are they sponsoring? what events have they sponsored? where’s their video? etc…
would you go out right now and buy a aggressive skate made by Schwinn?
or by DC or, Oasis?
May 16th, 2008 at 8:55 pm
Jesus 1440, you seem a little too enthused about hating this brand.
Maybe you should start a cult.
May 16th, 2008 at 9:42 pm
if these were new deshi you all would love them. the soul kitsl ook like deshi/nhim TBH. i prefer these than some USD skates i said some.
May 16th, 2008 at 9:49 pm
looks like a cheap skate. Thats just my honest opinion.
May 16th, 2008 at 10:18 pm
1440 can we see your frontflip?
May 17th, 2008 at 1:34 am
sigh, knock offs suck
May 17th, 2008 at 3:45 am
I would buy DC skate liners
May 17th, 2008 at 4:07 am
shut the fuck up 1440, stop embarassing yourself.
May 17th, 2008 at 4:18 am
Marosh since you’re such a prick and think so much of trying to diss someone you can see my 900. http://youtube.com/watch?v=DrWB3MGp89o
the front flip 1440 you’ll have to look for and it’s actually well lite with showing the landing.
I’m only passionate cause I’m passionate about blading. I’ve been doing it since the first X-Games. I’m passionate cause all my closest friends came from this sport/lifestyle and to see someone come in who obviously doesn’t have good intentions try to take money out of a already small market is something that pisses me off.
Honestly it should piss you off. Think about it. what would you be doing if you didn’t have skating to fall back on when you’re hurt, mad, bored, tired of being in the house, tired of being alone, tired of being dumped, tired of being fired, tired of life. What would be your outlet of expression. How would you differ from these mindless boring sports that remain on TV 24/7. I can only take so much Basketball/baseball. I need something that doesn’t really have any rules, that can be as creative as the person has within themselves. That for me is Blading.
I had a problem with RB when they kicked everyone off the pro team and said that they wouldn’t pay the pro’s in the future, hence Dave Jones doesn’t get a dime and gets kicked down to flow status. Fabiola leaves them twice and goes to Valo. Katie Ketchum is on flow and she’s one of the hottest girl riders and looking in our sport.
I had a problem with k2/salomon just giving up and quiting. Their lose was due to never truly changing their design to a really good one in all the time they were out.
I had a problem with mindgame dying cause I know Shane and that’s his fucking baby. He put everything he had into that and what happened China fucking not only copied his wheels but his frames as well and named it something else. This will be Alchemy as well. So you might not care but imagine that everything you’ve worked hard for just got stolen from you and the only thing someone had to come up with was a shitty design for a skate that wouldn’t get them in trouble with a major company. This is Alchemy. Anarchy are nothing more than K2/USD skate designs with another name on them. Alchemy are nothing more than just mooks with two more x’s in the middle. Their skates are nothing more than some USD’s with a soft top. what happened to originality. What happened to loyalty. Razor just came out with a new design, To me it’s shitty but it’s way better than Alchemy. It’s also original.
USD has the Rat-tail skates which are only 130 and skate great. Hell buy the fuckin realms, I don’t like them but shit at least it’s from USD and it’s cheap. you don’t like that buy some fuckin rb’s for 150 they’re proven to work fine.
May 17th, 2008 at 5:52 am
Ok Frontflip 1440, I can see you love skating and thank you for spreading your love, but you must stop talking now. I don’t like reading long posts, haha.
Either way, if Alchemy is ran by a skateboard company, than I won’t support them. The skateboarding community has fucked over our industry. We are no longer in X-Games, we should be on the DEW Tour, but we aren’t and we should be. Pro Rollerbladers should be winning 30k at a contest. Inline was huge in the late 90′s and now in 2008 we are still underground and pretty much starting over, but at least we have the knowledge and years of experience so we can make a huge comeback and we will!!!
May 17th, 2008 at 5:55 am
hey man… if you star dissn skateboard companies, now your being part of the problem, the industry both skate/inline is just being manipulated by big fat corporate companies , waiting for the next big thing in sports on where they can invest thier money in…. different companies make different designs of skates to stand out or be differnt of even just to consider maketability. If we hate on skateboarders, what are we really hatn? the sport? the people ? the equipment? rollerblading isnt as hot as skatn right now because i guess people in our industry didnt have power to pull it back for no —no disrespect… i think no one isnt pushn our sport in the mainstream that much, thats why it isnt that visible in the mainstream media…. but hey bottom line is im proud i still can buy good skates and still have these companies who makes em, and as long i still roll wiht my friend wether they be inliners or skateboarders i dont care as long we skate and have fun…
sorry for the wrong spelling brah…. im just to lazy to re-type…
start the hate….
May 17th, 2008 at 6:10 am
fuck these knock off pieces of shit. use your brains and support people that will help us not take away money from us…
May 17th, 2008 at 6:31 am
they all wanna take money from us… thats what business is… when they have to fold they will fold if the money isnt enough…. cmon how many fallen inline skat companies that we thought will be there? right?… big ups for those still surviving… but its all about business
May 17th, 2008 at 7:15 am
to be completely fair, if your going to diss anything that has to do with skateboarding, you will also have to boycott Eulogy wheels. And if you did that, it would be ignorant.
May 17th, 2008 at 10:46 am
1440 has the right idea. dont support something that doesnt care about you.
May 17th, 2008 at 12:36 pm
man think about the kids who will actually buy these
what sport will these skates get them interested in?
rollerblading, not skateboarding.
in the end, these price-point skates will get the future of rollerblading into our sport, where they will no doubt change preferences and get some skates that aren’t made by a company that makes skateboards.

Was there a Alchemy banner at the NL, or the Winterclash? how about at Fise? I don’t think so, cause they’re liars.
there were some alchemy banners at the Chaz Sands Invitational though
supporting a contest with nowhere near as much support as FISE
May 17th, 2008 at 1:09 pm
And don’t support the FISE, it’s just a promotional event.
May 17th, 2008 at 1:56 pm
This is the main problem, there is too much hate. Alchemy is a british skate company, and they make decent, cheap products that are good for beginners. This brand has never released a skate before, and I think this is going to be a skate thats better than Anarchy, but not quite as good as TRS. A good, cheap skate for people to start out on.
Who gives a shit if a brand sells skateboard stuff? The blading industry is tiny compared to the boarding industry, and if a company wants to stick to just skating stuff and still make quite a big profit, they would have to reach into the blading AND boarding industries.
Just stop hating and start rolling.
May 17th, 2008 at 4:18 pm
I think frontflip 1440 has a good point though.
In my opinion, the day Rollerblading becomes popular is the day rollerblading starts to die.when our pro’s start to get money, some of them will become for sure piss headed and start to care only about the money and forget what rollerblading was about. Now i would hate to see it popular that everyone thinks they are cool just to roll around with new remz/razors/usd/deshi/xjados etc.
Id hate to see that happen but I guess it will happen one day.
Peace.
May 17th, 2008 at 4:31 pm
…I don´t want rollerblading to be about fashion only like skateboarding….with them it´s like….get the gear (shoes, shirts, pants) and after that you may even start learning an ollie….
May 17th, 2008 at 5:17 pm
Alchemy is as much a legitimate rollerblading company as Roces since both are manufactured and distributed by companies that also make skateboards (Shiner – in the UK and Stateside). Alchemy support rollerblading by sponsoring comps and riders. I’m not saying that their products are original, but they pump money into rollerblading and provide kids with affordable beginner skates, so what’s the problem?
For the people saying that companies should be rollerblading only… So many companies bust their ass supporting rollerblading but the demand for it provides barely enough cash for them to survive. So what’s the issue with diversifying if they continue to support rollerblading? It is those companies that try to get kids into rollerblading and without them the future wouldn’t be looking too great.
If Stateside want longevity in manufacturing skates they should employ a rollerblader to help with the design and research into skate development.
In reply to the guy above me, why shouldn’t our pros be making big money like their skateboarding equivalents? They’re constantly pushing themselves in rollerblading and deserve to be paid a proper wage.
May 17th, 2008 at 7:27 pm

Rollerblading has already been popular, the pros back in the day were alot better because they had attitude.
Sure the new pros are better skaters, but Arlo, Josh Petty, Champion and more were the shit.
May 17th, 2008 at 11:59 pm
I wonder if you guys realize that BOTH VALO AND XSJADO took some hard fucking hits when they first released their skates. I mean valo caught soooooo much fucking hate it was people where photo shoping the skates to make fun of them. And then jon took it and made it a contest. Xsjado also too some major hate. i got made fun of hard for my Berken blades when i first bought them. Now you look at them and people fucking love both brands. So i really wouldnt knock the skate until someone here has actually skated a pair. I mean who knows they could be a really good skate regardless of who makes them.
May 18th, 2008 at 1:34 am
Yo, I’m trhe guy who put front flip 1440′s edit on my account. The guy has no camera and his friend doesn’t have any editing equip. So Frontflip 900# you’re talking about me. Personally I find it very mean spirited that you would say something about someone who you don’t even know.
1. that clip that he has up there, there is no foam pit at that park, just a small landing bank.
2.Guys love to talk shit about anyone and eveything. I agree with front flip on this whole new skate thing. I think it’s bad business but whatever.
3. WHat’s a Berken blade. I’ve never heard of them. I’m sure no one thinks that they’re the shit since no one has ever heard of that brand for an aggressive brand.
May 18th, 2008 at 2:28 am
hahahahahhah its not a brand! its what people called my xsjado’s when i first bought them. They called the birkenblades. cause they look like birkenstock sandals.
May 18th, 2008 at 2:49 am
here, think about it if razors started doing skateboards what would you be upto? sitting on here moaning?
boycott them???
ignore these stpid arguments, its dull who cares what alcemi do, they branch out, of course, if you was cadburies what you be doing, branching out into different brands of chocolate, alcemi have branched out into different types of extreme sport, i dont hate skateboarders, i hate the skateboarders that have no respect, have no reasn to hate there industry, what has that industry done for me, nothing, rollerblading being underground is kinda a good thing, makes the community more close nit and friendly, other than skateboarding but as soon as is goes global/bigtime you will notice that more and more jerks appear, because it becomes more competitive
whatever congrats to alcemi, hate on the looks of the skate yes, hate on the company no, they maing more skates brings more younger kids, and who knows one of these kids that skate alcemi wil end up being the next aragon
May 18th, 2008 at 5:40 am
hey guys ,
all you understand about inlineskate .
maybe the kids who will start blading might buy these skates but you all know that when you start to understand about the good stuff like confort , durability , style you search for these kids will look for that brands who made the good stuff.
May 18th, 2008 at 8:11 am
everybody on here is a bunch of girls
you guys just find the most stupid crap imaginable to fight over
those skates look aight?
May 18th, 2008 at 4:32 pm
to all the retards out there:
Skateboarding DID NOT FUCK OUR SPORT!!!!!
they are better at marketing an easier sport. that is all.
The only thing that fucked us is the fact that American kids want to be part of something but do not want to put in any effort. Skateboarding was the perfect thing for them over the last ten years. Any iddiot can figure out how to kick flip in a month but most cant royale a kink rain in a month. Skateboarding is dying off, giving way to emo types who ride NJS track bikes, which is why skateboard companies are trying to break into rollerblading. they are not making the money that they once did.
oh ya; those skates are fucking ugly and look like they will die in a month.
May 18th, 2008 at 11:09 pm
that has to be the ugliest skate….
May 18th, 2008 at 11:47 pm
i ride there frames and 4 a boardin company they roll well, and 4 the record they sponsered the chaz invite . whats wrong with cing a new company. its not as if they r makin shite products there frames and wheels ride well.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:09 am
Ian their frames should ride well, it’s the mook frames from xsjado. Their wheels well, anyone can make a wheel, except senate.
May 19th, 2008 at 8:25 am
reason why their products are shit cause they stole the frame design and just put some X’s on it.
One, the skateboarding companies had a lot to do with the downfall of our industry. 1. watch Barely Dead. 2. Tony Hawk series of games since day 1 talked shit about rollerblading, that leaves a big impression on weak willed kids and even more so on younger kids who love video games before they can skate. that’s a form of brainwashing. it creates a image of blading being wrong and more so gay. 3. Tony Alva, he went on ESPN and talked shit about blading on national TV, for all those who look up to him from that fucked up movie Lords of Dogtown, they’ll listen to what he said and that’s that. It’s been a direct move to push kids further and further away from blading. They may market better but that’s because those who are in charge of making those types of decisions are skateboarders to start with.
May 19th, 2008 at 1:57 pm
jesus1440 you say bullshit;Alchemy it s a xjsado frame the skate is a freeskate from the Seba brand.go on google search pictures with the word seba…
May 19th, 2008 at 3:23 pm

yep, without skating you’ve got nothing. thats why you have time to sit there and rant out an unstructured spiel. take some relaxants and call your local mental health service now. hold it together man. your the skating equivalent of this guy
you make some good points. but you don’t have to act like such a dooche.
good day to you sir.

true, dude screw you. that video was uncalled for. 1. I’m not some fat kid who plays games. 2. I don’t sound like smegal when I laugh.
3. I would never act like that if I didn’t have my way.
It’s pretty funny though. I have time to sit and rant. not it takes me like a minute to type out each comment. so it’s very fast. more so if you’ve seen the other post for them now then I think that you’ll start to agree with me on all points about that company. those skates must be made to have kids who had a interest in skating stop skating and go to skateboarding cause damn those skates are so horrible not only in design but in conceptual use that it’s gonna turn a lot of kids off. not have them say, hey I want a better pair now.

haha, yeh the video is a bit harsh. its interesting because alchemy has the look of a skater owned company, but they have no website. that weirded me out. im with ya up until a point when you get a little crazy eyed and about skateboarders trying to kill us all! yeh, bam margerita and whoever else did talk smack about us a lot, and it was lame to put that shit onto young impressionable people but fuck em, theyre just pissed because they get hit in the nuts 5 times a day by a piece of wood. if they are a non skater owned company putting out a shit skate, noone will buy it. i dont think they designed it to be shit, they just dont have much money, and have cataracs. its not a conspiricy. its just an ugly skate :O but yeh, totally agree with you on supporting the industry. i bought a jug t the other day from a shop that once o walked out i thought, fuck you guys, i shoulda bought it from someone real. they were a board/inline hockey/bmx/skate store in that order. im still pissed about that. ive been here since the begginning, i had the hoax on vhs, a pair of m12′s, oxygen 1.1′s and 2 pairs of k2s so i know where your at. but dont worry man, skateboarders may be popular, but most of them are just posers who cant kickflip. freestyle rolling, rollerblading or whatever you wana call it is pretty pure. the people who live it and are in it are in it because they love the sport. a pair of shitty skates with vents in the toes (seriously – how retarded are you?) wont change that.
peace out dude.
