whats the difference between that frame and Xsjado? they look pretty much the same to me..no point of this comp
May 5th, 2006 at 3:15 am
be more orignal! create some frame design that nobody has ever used before.

“Check this new frame (that looks similar to the Xsjado Mooks, some might say)”
No kidding, they are almost the same.. Why make them when they are a complete rip off of the Xsjado’s?
It’s people like this that hurt the industry, making more products that are completely useless.
May 5th, 2006 at 3:27 am
I like the wheels. Good graphics…..
May 5th, 2006 at 3:30 am
Yeah what the fuck, I hope they get sued for that shit they are EXACTLY the same
May 5th, 2006 at 3:42 am
These look alot shorter that mooks in height, which means that royales will need less bend to get low. But other than that its a total rip off.
May 5th, 2006 at 3:43 am
The wheels do look good, and they have a variety of urethanes, different hardnesses. Should be interesting to see if they survive. They’ll probably end up as a wheel company exclusivley if thats the only frame they’re going to make…Lots of good freestyle frames on the market already EX mook and core frames. Tough to break in with an unoriginal idea…
May 5th, 2006 at 4:38 am
frames look absoultly sic!
May 5th, 2006 at 4:42 am
The wheels are cool but wheels gotta be bigger then 55 mm and 56mm. too tiny… break out the thick wheels like 58mm or 60mm.
May 5th, 2006 at 5:19 am
So this company comes along, and takes a big bite out of Xsjado’s market for a few monthes, before dying a quiet death - leaving Xsjado with diminished sales and less money to improve their own products. What’s the point? Alchemist is hurting the industry.
May 5th, 2006 at 5:23 am
the frames are poorly designed in that the bolts dont have protection from ledges etc. why the fuck is it bare below it? dumb.
otehrwsie the whls look dope
May 5th, 2006 at 5:45 am
i like the idea of the angular sliding surfaces
dont think id be too great for rails, unless you just do royales and farves, but i bet it kills on ledges
and it seems like it allows you to lock in some crazy positions..it’ll be interesting to see how they skate
release date, shop availability?
May 5th, 2006 at 6:40 am
its a xsjado, kizer m type, 5050 core frame cross! awesome
May 5th, 2006 at 7:02 am
seriously, same exact concept, theyre TRYING to be Mindgame/xsjado the dude is even in a meditating position, mindgame is a wheels company while xsjado is a frame company…… plus theyre hella stole the mold EVERY SINGLE THING… what their groove ends in a triangle. big fucking difference, seriously like some people said these fuckfaces are the ones that corrupt the industry and make it the way it is. come out with some design that nobodys seen yet i mean seriously if you have the time money machines and equip to make frames why not make something unique instead of just remaking some shit thats already there…… if more people like this come to this sport its gonna be and already is becoming rollergaying…….
straight up, get your heads out of your assholes… and think
May 5th, 2006 at 7:54 am
chido camara
May 5th, 2006 at 8:05 am
looks like mooks.
but they have groove like an pyramid.
and the groove will go to the ground :S it lokks like that to me :((
May 5th, 2006 at 8:05 am
the wheels look sick .
The frame is .. a lil` like mooks , but i don`t thing we should blame them for the design , cause .. in how many ways can you draw a freestyle frame ??? maybe the frames are cooler than the other ones on the market , maybe they don`t break so often as the mooks or cores .. of maybe they slide hella’ faster then those .
I’d like to try them ..
May 5th, 2006 at 8:42 am
ive seen these frames up close the material of the frame is very different from xsjado frames
and the groves are all different to xsjado
xsjado are more round and smooth these are sharp and are total different and better for me
May 5th, 2006 at 9:02 am
Fuck all you butches complaining yeah they look like mooks but like Voyager said what other ways are there to make freestyle frames now days. to me theses are like a freestyle Able frames from the pics that should be good thing for u who likw ables but want a freestlye approach
May 5th, 2006 at 12:13 pm
maybe they are stronger than mooks, they look it anyway.
May 5th, 2006 at 12:59 pm
seriously, same exact concept, theyre TRYING to be Mindgame/xsjado the dude is even in a meditating position, mindgame is a wheels company while xsjado is a frame company……
so your saying because they make wheels, there ripping mindgame off? twat.
but the frame does look sh!t. i wont be buying the frame. mayeb the wheels, but the UK already has BHC
May 5th, 2006 at 1:02 pm
well same company making as Anarchy, wo what do you expect than a copy. Amos is right, hurting the industry by taking money away from the real dedicated core brands.
May 5th, 2006 at 1:04 pm
i’m loving the looks of that, the graphics are fresh, if you look at them they have some unique features and if you don’t want to skate mooks cause they are expenssive and they break, this might be a nice alternative. i’d support them for sure. people saying a new company will hurt the industry are just mental, get a grip.
what is it with putting down everything that is not completely outlandish, it’s okay to improve on an existing concept, razors and roces are making skates the same way they were made 15 years ago and are still among the best.
anyway, don’t be a hater, it’s ugly.
May 5th, 2006 at 2:30 pm
with gr8 frames like mooks come gr8 competition, enough said
May 5th, 2006 at 2:35 pm
Why change a winning concept? I think these frames should be tested before people start talking shit about them.
May 5th, 2006 at 4:01 pm
they r like a free style able frame . i always thought new companys makes the in industry grow am i wrong?
May 5th, 2006 at 5:22 pm
they wont girnd or cess slide as well, but they will roll better than mooks, because th eonly difference is that the wheels dont get covered by the ends of the frame.
May 5th, 2006 at 7:53 pm
please tell me those are not holes for 6mm axles ? kinda foolish to go that direction nowadays
May 5th, 2006 at 8:42 pm
Chopped up mooks ans poser mindgame wheels. Don’t think it will last…
May 5th, 2006 at 10:32 pm
seriously people, u complain about the industry being shite, and then when a new company comes along, especially a UK company, (as the UK needs new companies in the industry) all you do is criticise and tell them too fuck off. who cares if they look like xsjado frames, they are freestyle frames, get over it. someone has put a lot of time inot this business and all you do is completely slate it. you need to get over yourselves and give them a chance. maybe they won’t snap as easy as xsjado’s, we don’t know. just give them a fucking chance.
May 5th, 2006 at 11:52 pm
all lads this guy above is right i mean remerber when xsjado’s first came out they were a small company and they grew i mean mayb this wont b the only thing out of this company they could invent a brand new part 4 skates
May 6th, 2006 at 12:40 am
wow those r like a cooler xsjado
May 6th, 2006 at 11:13 am
i think that they are better then Xsjado frames. Some reasons - they have more support in the center of the frame, that’s very good.
They may have different material used - that would be very great, cause i dislike the xsjado frame material.
So, i think it is very good to have a choise in the same-geometric frames and different materials to skate.
May 6th, 2006 at 11:49 am
im still sticking to 6mm axles=no fun
May 6th, 2006 at 5:04 pm
All i have to say is that i agree with chris
May 7th, 2006 at 2:02 am
they dont look much lik the Xsjado frames when will the us get a new frame comp or a new video game
May 7th, 2006 at 9:44 am
spinn håll käften. du låter som en som gjort framesen!
May 8th, 2006 at 11:59 am
They are a totally different frame to the mook.
They are much better.
The mook is inconsistent on ledges. If u have a groove u like in a mook and go for a good hard ledge session chances r wen you come back the grove will be totally different.
These frames have been designed to be an amazing frame.
You shouldnt knock something until youve tried it. about 2-3 people who have actually tried them LOVE every last thing about them.
think mook think GC then think better. thats what you have here.
peace

Mooks but better. Thats my view well at least they look it.
And the wheels look Well sick.
May 8th, 2006 at 11:33 pm
Hey guys, my name is Damien McEvoy.
Eh….I actually designed this frame. I’ve been rollin since 1995 and this frame is a completely skater designed and funded with skater money. (Meaning my friends and my money)
The above pic is of a prototype.
Every angle on this frame is unique and it’s shaped in such a way to facilitate ALL aspects of rollin (bar suspension), nothing is an after thought, due to the fact there has been skater influence at every step.
It was my intention to have the frame pre-released in a different colour other than black cos you can’t clearly see the all surfaces (this in juiced on the side for feck sake….Top sides anyone??) Also in black I do admit it’s comes across as jaded or done before.
Wait for the “real” product shots and offical release material coming soon in FNMag’s first summer edition and check their website for the some tester reviews.
Every skater who has tested this (some already skating on existing brand’s teams) have been hooked from the word go.
This product will have it’s lovers and it’s haters, but after 4 years of designing and 2 years of prototyping I just wish the “nay sayers” would cut it some slack.
And for those who think we’re here to hurt the industry- then say any company should “sue” us - proves your mind is firmly closed to what’s going on in this industry. Due to opinions such as that, many a company has hit the wall and that’s why outside corporations own your major brands….lets see them sponsor the IMYTA…oh wait where’s that gone.
YOU SUPPORT YOUR INDUSTRY- YOU LET THE BRANDS DIE!
By the way…Do you happen to download skate vids via LimeWire??
May 9th, 2006 at 11:26 am

May 9th, 2006 at 5:24 pm
Peeps,
They’ll be available very, very soon.
May 9th, 2006 at 6:26 pm
those are never gonna break cuz of the core
they r probly better than the xjados
May 9th, 2006 at 9:18 pm
Damien, I hate freestyle frames, so I have one question. Any plans for a normal frame? Also wondering what the wheel profile will be like ( as in rounded or flat)…..
May 10th, 2006 at 1:15 am
Four wheeled on the way. (currently no pics..sorry) The familiar flat or anti-rocker set ups we know and love can be used. By the way the axles are 8mm standard.
The profile for the wheels will again be familiar, as in rounded but so far testing shows them to be pretty tough.
There’s some cool ideas in the pipeline in relation to wheels.
Any other questions…I guess I should refer you to info@alchemyskates.co.uk or the website!(which is currently under construction I know but I ain’t going to use here as my own personal message board and soap box)
May 10th, 2006 at 12:57 pm
So what if they r the same? How many of u r riding Xsjado?
My fuckin point exectly
May 10th, 2006 at 3:28 pm

May 11th, 2006 at 1:19 pm
Dude those frames are going to rock.
Well done Damo, at least someones got their head in the game.
Screw the Nay sayers, they can eat my Cock.
May 11th, 2006 at 2:16 pm
you guys need to quit saying”stupid brand it can go away,”in case you all havent noticed but blading in desparate need for money.
every brand is welcomed to our sport..
so ill asy it “THANK YOU ALCHEMY,STAY AS LONG AS YOU WANT!!!”
June 23rd, 2006 at 8:34 pm
Damn those frames look good, when will they be available in Holland? Or just in any shop? Cause i want to buy em… Right now i’m riding ables, and like the sharp corners, but want to buy similiar a freestyle frame, cause if you remove the middle wheels from ables, the H-block is too high….
July 13th, 2006 at 6:26 pm
hey guys, i gotta agree with the people for the alchemies, who cares if they look just the same? maybe that is now the look for freestyle frames, bearings look the same why bother making others? also i’m a UK skater so i gotta say promote the uk, it’s about time the uk had more of a foot in the rolling industry!
anyone know when they are for sale, i think a nice black pair for my xsjado basix…
August 13th, 2006 at 5:37 pm
those are xsjado mooks just with a different name u no wat this reminds me of, razor razor has the same fucking thing over and over they put different frames on a gen 4 boot and call it something else and u could have shima 6 and put on wide mouth souls and poof there now cult LE
August 14th, 2006 at 10:55 am
what does it matter if they’re similar to the mook frame? if they’re the same but better (which it looks like they are), then surely that’s a good thing? Everybody whines about mooks being easy to snap, well take a look at mooks minus the snapping, cuz it looks like these boys have done just about everything to make this frame as strong as possible.
August 15th, 2006 at 5:30 am
very cool to see a new frame company that is sure to come out with more innovative products. Cheers.
August 27th, 2006 at 11:29 am
they’re more durable than the mooks

September 4th, 2006 at 3:11 pm
listen up i just got a pair of the frams in white and they are sick the amount of slide time u get is out of this world and the speed is amazing i mean u can switch um up without fear of locking up or damaging ur wheels im also trying the 57mm wheels and they seem fine they go just rite with the frame and fit like a treat. and dudes they are a brand new BRITISH company….and where i live skating is dieing out to dirty woodpushers i mean we have only one shop left which is a 20 min bus ride away and he is starting to do boards and not stock skates… this might be what we have been waiting for the bring skating back from the dead… so either shut up or put up thats what i fink…..adz
January 4th, 2007 at 7:03 am
from what i can see, its better than the Xsjado mooks, 1. construction is stronger and therefore wont break easy at all, 2. they are lower than the mooks and will allow for much easier royals and Unity’s and other tricks, 3. if their lighter then even thats great, slide like ice, madness. give them ago and buy add least 1pair, i know i will, the more the merrier and more money we put into the idustry the better chance we ll have companies helping to fund more comps and make the sport a viable option in terms of having a career in the sport which isnt easy at this stage.
February 27th, 2007 at 8:03 pm
dude u all are retarted alchemy is older than xjado they couldnt have copyed the design
August 18th, 2008 at 8:57 pm
iv got the frames and they are ok except for they dont slide very well and catch on hips easily (if your a park skater) the lip on the frame is a good idea but they shouldnt have made it so sticky out or sharp
