Airwalk : Same Mold, New Skates

Airwalk will release a new skate, read more about it here. It seems that the skate mold used by Airwalk is an old one, that were used by a lot of other brand.

Regarding the kids starting on skates of this quality comment, I remember Sam Fogarty killing it in a best trick contest in 1998/97 in those skates….Except they were brown….

wow, so many! i guess they can’t be THAT bad if they’ve been copied so many times. don’t worry about beginners though, if it rolls and doesn’t fall apart too easy they’ll have a great time with it.

Yeah the bauer respect wasnt that bad a skate - rich taylor and sam fogarty were so good skating them.

I say give AW a chance…they’re breaking into a new market. It will take some time to work out all the bugs n shit. Much like when a new car rolls out on the market. Expect a few recalls because it’s new. These things take time. It won’t matter about the next generation of rollers being started out on ‘less quality’ skates, because eventually they’ll get better and then switch to TRS.

I am going to disagree with the bauer statement… they are not the same mold… the only thing that looks similar are the lace holder part.
Those Bauers were fucking sick
