Airwalk Inline Aggressive Skates

Well this might not be a bad thing. They are priced at a $59.99, which is pretty cheap compared to $139.99 - $314.99. This isn’t going to scare off too many parents at the sight of the price. Who knows this might be a nice thing.
It seems that Airwalk is now producing Aggressive Skates.

The mold is the same as the old Bauer skate several cheap companies offer this skate maybe airwalk bouht their molds

Like the first pair of skates you started on were freakin’ razors? My first skates i got started on the sport with were regular rollerblades, then my first actual aggressive skates were Oxygen argons. Those were shit. If they help get kids started on the sport, then there’s no harm.

i think that this is really good and could do alot for the rollerblading scene big time cause air walk is pretty big in everything so i dunno this could give it a boost, possibly, maybe not who knows?

to be honest, they look REALLY bad. it’s a good thing that such cheap skates are available to beginers but it’d also be nice to get good quality skates from airwalk.

I saw this shit in some supermarket few weeks ago. It looked the same way but there was no Airwalk logo in them. So I think that Airwalk jus bought some amount of cheap chinese skates and they are trying to sellit for higher price for some kids.

I don’t like kids starting out on crappy skates. There are plenty of good skates available that aren’t too expensive. When kids come to the park and they’re wheels can’t even roll or they want to learn to stall or grind and they can’t, it’s not fun for them. Good equipment makes the sport easier and more fun. If the child’s first experience is frustration, they are soon going to do something else. I also hate it that parents would make the kid ride some crappy skates for months and months before spending at last 100 dollars. They want the kid to get tired/bored of it, so they don’t have to spend the money.

most of u are dumb. juz like the hotwheels skate this skate is going to boost up our market. more sponsers will sponser more events. bigger cash prizes at events, xgames publicity possibly, more kids w. skates.

if a company that big decides to enter the agrressive market, why not just invest some money in making a decent skate model? at least it would be quality.
another they can do is at least form a sub-company specificly for aggressive skating so that at least their skates wont say “AIRWALK. TOTALLY RAD!” on the side of the frame.

Man - I gues it’s ok if it gets kids into the sport… but you can get some good skates for fairly cheap (i.e. M12’s and i swear I saw a deal on an onlie store advertising a whole package with Salo ST80’s for $100)
Even if rolling is starting to sell out to these companies - stay true and keep rolling on good-quality brands and original rolling companies, coz the only reason other companies would buy into the rolling market is coz rolling is ‘different’ and ‘underground’ - which is now supposedly in fashion….

well, it’s cheap. and i did start skating on sabotages. so every kid/family can’t afford the good stuff. but if they get interested. that’s what it’s all about.
and as long as you can soul and frontside in those. other tricks should come easily. might take awhile, but everyone starts somewhere. right?

Looks like Airwalk’s slowly getting more involved in rolling. These skates and a Taig Kris shoe, who knows where they plan to go from there. A company that was as mainsteam as airwalk likely doesn’t even care about the industry, though. It’s all about money. Besides, with all the skate, wheel, and frame companies already in our sport(almost all run by skaters, no less), airwalk really doesn’t have anything to offer other than a cheap beginner skate.

sure, it might encourage some kids into skating, but chances are that they wont even be able to learn to grind due to the total utter shitness of those skates

this is true that the skates are not so good, but i know a lot of young skaters that started that way : their parent bought them such a pair of skates cause it was very cheap : “let’s buy them, even if you roll only once, it’s not so much money” and then the kids saw what rolling was, and bought a real pair of skates afterward

personally, i like these skates. good price and just plain simple design. i hate skates with all those stupid designed straps to make it look more high tech. i like the plain simple design

THESE SKATES MAY BE GARBAGE,BUT ALOT OF THE KIDS IN MY AREA HAVE NEVER EVEN SEEN AGGRESSIVE SKATES IN PERSON.(i HAVE HAD TO ORDER MY SKATES ONLINE FOR THE PAST 3 YEARS DEW TO THE ONLY AGGRO SKATE SHOP CLOSING.) MY POINT IS THAT MORE KIDS WOULD SKATE IF THEY WERE ACTUALLY EXPOSED TO SKATES& SKATING. AND SEEING HOW SO MANY STORES CARRY AIRWALK KIDS WILL AT LEAST BE ABLE TO FIND SOME KIND OF SKATES. AND THE REST OF US WILL STICK WITH OUR RESPECTIVE BRANDS.

I just tried these skates on at big 5. I did not expect them to feel so cheap. Think nash is to skateboarding as this skate is to inline. the bearings feel like nash quality too, resisting to roll. The airwalks were $99 and I compared them to the Corr ATA990s they had there for $89. Corr whooped em hard. there is no comparison.
