As a skater with 3 successful companies under your belt running simultaneously what do you do in your spare time to wind down?
AJ : I drink whiskey to wind down, but as of late I don’t even have time for that. Between planning future productions, dealing with things in production, selling what I got in stock, blasting out retarded fun edits, filming, and being a full time cook I get to sleep 6 hours a night.
SUAS: Now that is a healthy schedule! I never knew you were into cooking. Did you attend Culinary School or is it something that you just happen to be good at?
AJ: It actually came from wanting to get out of the house and have a fresh start with regular people. I call them regular because at first they didn’t know anything about me. Didn’t tell them what we did, where we go, etc. Just let them think I was Joe Blow the Cook. Funny how people treat you different if they don’t think you have anything to offer them.
One day though one of the servers saw me on MTV, then for a few weeks I got lots of those “So you’re famous, right?” kinds of questions; to which I would respond, obviously I am not since I can be a chef for 3 months without you knowing anything about me. [...]

If Adam Johnson is carrying rollerblading in the right direction i am ashamed to call myself a rollerblader, I used to respect him until i saw the way he uses and treats people. and if anyone sees “AJ” please tell him he is not famous.

who cares how he behaves as a person – ever met Andy Wegener or Matthias from PS? Thats not important (as long as they dont sponsor you) – you just purchase their products and know that somehow at least a bit of your money runs back into rollerblading. To me, he seems like a weirdo, but who cares, his pants are pretty sweet though

yeah word,thats a fair comment i guess,but broskow made the videos what they are,nobody would have bought anything from AJ without those epic sections ,plus he even did a lot of camera work and promotion,

AJ knows whats up and what needs to be done..
My only criticism is that VX needs to start making jeans that are not so damn tight. The whole TOO tight jean thing is kinda played out now. Don’t rock baggy or too tight, just get some normal regular fit jeans. Maybe a cool dark blue jean, nothing too trendy.

to be honest, i dont find em too tight, if you buy them in large sizes, theyre quite baggy actually, thats the good thing about VX. To me, theyre just right

Vibralux do not fit tight if you buy the right size, especially the new run of jeans. Size up if anything and they will fit perfect.

Every time adam came to springfield it was fun. He can be a bit condescending but so can I so fuck it. He has done amazing things for rolling which not that many people can say. Keep doing what you are doing Adam. And dont forget you guys………the insane shit he took Huge falls trying. Some guys just film…….He went for the big stunts unlike some of the shit talkers out there. Hope you come to Arizona and kick it with me and Coach Flores bro. See ya on tha wheels sometime:-) Chris
