11th Annual Hoedown Finals (2007): Rolling Mission Edit
quoting Jason Reyna (via Twitter):
Better late than never right? ok, so this is a couple years late.
With the 13th Annual Hoedown right around the corner i felt i should get everyone excited about this years event with an edit from a past event.
This was 2007 and Haffey had destroyed every contest he entered… The hoedown was just a quick stop on his way to winning the LG Action sports finals. Enjoy.

jason, u got skills thers no denying this but hey dude is there any way u could put rap in ur sections? now i know people r getting fed up with negative comments but I listened to rap while watchin ur edit and in my opinion, much better!
September 27th, 2009 at 8:46 am
haha yes i can and have used rap in edits before. in fact i used rap in the hoedown videos i actually produced. the bfree Streeet Artist Urethane edit i made had some rap in it, the aragon skate release edit had rap in it… but so i know… what song did you listen to while watching the edit?
September 27th, 2009 at 10:07 am
Know on the opposing view to McGruff I though the song was perfect for that edit and wouldn’t change a thing, well only that I wish it had been out 2 years ago haha

I was listening to Youngbloodz “Chop Chop,” a grimey illadelphian track over a classy feel good beat. For all the guitar loving skaters, so be it, but in my opinion the blackman mixed over a drum beat sounds better than any whining guitar playing white boy any day. This is what makes our sport better, all around greatness. You will not achieve greatness without giving artists like Youngbloodz and Lil Wayne a chance. Jason, have you ever heard of a group called UGK? What about the Game, Ive never heard any “Games Pain” tracks in ur edits and I know well get right back into the limelight if we give urban music with flavor a chance.

chris haffey amazing
September 27th, 2009 at 11:14 am
lol haffey just kills the shit every fuckin time :D
September 27th, 2009 at 11:26 am
ya haffey kills and he would appreciate it if yall learned how to app good music. ever heard of gangstarr or what about a tribe called quest. keep it simple boys and remember that barry white gets more pussy in the long run cause he only puffs mad weed. rappers are r the same way they promote good things such as the rules of pimping women, partying, and the distribution of the hard party drugs to the annoying guitar players

September 27th, 2009 at 5:29 pm
What song is that?
September 27th, 2009 at 6:11 pm
sick !
and I liked the music
September 27th, 2009 at 6:35 pm
i actually do listen to both gangstarr and tribe, they’ve been in a lot of skate videos. the song is Sniper at the gates of heaven by the Black Angels for those into the “annoying guitar players” or musicians as i like to refer to those who play instruments.
September 27th, 2009 at 7:54 pm
McGruff… Lil’ Wayne? Seriously? I fail to see how he is a great artist. I also don’t see how putting rap music into edits and videos will help our sport anymore. It’s all about personal taste. Reyna makes sick edits, and he uses all sorts of different music.
September 27th, 2009 at 8:07 pm
Ive got gangster and tribe called quest MrGruff ive been listening to hip hop since 1994 till now and so I know all the Big El the RUN DMC and the rest. My point is that that song suited the edit perfectly, so in actual fact you need to learn to widen your scope and lose that tunnel vision your suffering from, maybe go traveling and appreciate more than one thing all the time.
September 27th, 2009 at 9:09 pm
haha mcgruff if that was all a joke it was osm
September 27th, 2009 at 11:02 pm
Andypants!!!!! those two tricks were sick specially the fakie 450 backslide to acid thing!!!! that was a fun trip and always has been

Thanks for getting me hyped, Reyna!

Rap music flows better and in rollerblading u either got it or dont got it. it ur styles wack, u might as well pick up a camera and becomme the next Jason Reyna, but hey who am i, just a rollerblader with an opinion. and next time u say rap music is not needed think about indulging in the art of filmmaking cause thers no room for u in actual rollerblading.

Seriously, McGruff, shut the fuck up. You obviously don’t know shit about music and are stuck in your damn little box of only liking rap. I don’t mind people who like rap, I don’t especially like it myself, but you don’t see me complaining when people use it in edits. And seriously, to say the rolling depends on rap, god no. Half of the reason I get myself pumped to try new ticks is because I am listening to metal. I guess what I am saying is just stop talking, you only make yourself seem even more of a fool with every post.
September 28th, 2009 at 3:20 am
hahahaha, all of “mcgruffs” comments are classic.
is this kid serious???
its time to start appreciating good music man.
everyone that can speak can do what little wayne does.
theres only so many songs you can listen to about “getting money” and “turning your swag on”
